worse than the cellar dwellers, moore and freeman and delhomme and co?He hasn't really looked much better than Leinart, IMHO. I'd stay away.
Well, my understanding is that Freeman has looked good this year. Moore definitely looked good at the end of last year. Delhomme is in Cleveland now and getting some decent press. So, I guess the answer to that is yes. But the real answer is "yes, but it's irrelevant". What difference does it make if either of them look slightly better than other QBs you wouldn't draft? Unless that group of undraftable QBs makes up about half the NFL teams, you can find better, even if you wait until late to draft a QB.worse than the cellar dwellers, moore and freeman and delhomme and co?He hasn't really looked much better than Leinart, IMHO. Yes. The difference is those other guys jobs are fairly secure at least for this year (although Moore could get replaced by Clausen late in the year). One bad game and Anderson could be out.worse than the cellar dwellers, moore and freeman and delhomme and co?He hasn't really looked much better than Leinart, IMHO. I'd stay away.
That's really what matters most. I'd have the same lack of confidence in either but Anderson arm helps the big play and maybe hurts Hightower a little in PPRs because of no Matt "Checkdown" Leinart.I wouldn't draft him, but I would feel better about Fitzgerald...
Yet there the Cards are, seriously giving DA a shot to beat out Leinart.Oof.He had game last year where he was 2 for 17 for 23 yards! That average isn't good in baseball, let alone as a starting QB in the NFL. Bottom of the barrel.
This. DA's weakness is a delhommian like fearlessness of throwing the 'jump ball' INT. Larry Fitz is one of the best deep jump ball adjusters around.. This would substantial boos the WRS value in my eyes, though I'm not sure he'll fare much better than Leienert in the wins dept.I wouldn't draft him, but I would feel better about Fitzgerald...
In fairness there was a LOT going wrong both CLE at the time with injuries, trades and dearths of talent under a new regime. But wow that sux.I think DA would fare better with the cards line, which while it ain't the best OL, is miles ahead of CLE (which is somewhat suprising considering the high draft picks and dollars in CLE's line)bottom 5, threat to implode in any game. Lets remember we're talking about a guy with a 44.5% completion rate last year and an even lower passer rating. In seven starts last year, he went over 125 passing yards ONCE. He only managed over 100 THREE times.
Don't get me wrong here, DA is horrible, but his receivers had at least 9 drops in that game.Yet there the Cards are, seriously giving DA a shot to beat out Leinart.Oof.He had game last year where he was 2 for 17 for 23 yards! Call it what you will but DA got a win for his w-l record for that game...Don't get me wrong here, DA is horrible, but his receivers had at least 9 drops in that game.Yet there the Cards are, seriously giving DA a shot to beat out Leinart.Oof.He had game last year where he was 2 for 17 for 23 yards! Looking past Anderson then, who is the QB to grab for AZ this season and beyong. Is it Hall or Skelton that gets the shot?bottom 5, threat to implode in any game. This year Hall, next year, first round pick, unless Skelton develops VERY quickly.Looking past Anderson then, who is the QB to grab for AZ this season and beyong. I'm not sure it's that simple. Both guys have been very good. Skelton has the size and arm, and Hall has the pocket presence. It will be an interesting battle to watch. This year Hall, next year, first round pick, unless Skelton develops VERY quickly.Looking past Anderson then, who is the QB to grab for AZ this season and beyong.
