If it's Dbacks vs Rockies for the pennant (1 Viewer)

Proof? Where's the ****OFFICIAL DBACKS*** thread?

I'll tell you where it's NOT. Not on the first two pages - but the Pirates, Reds, White Sox, Mets, etc. all are.

But the networks would still be happy. They could show BoSox vs Indians/Yanks in prime time all the time and shelve the NL until late night.

Oh wait, they're doing that already.

Yeah, who would want to watch a young hot team that has a leading MVP candidate and leading ROY candidate?

I understand both are mid-market teams, but if you can't get excited watching a team like the Rockies and what they are doing, you just don't like baseball very much.

I would watch every game. Of course, I am a big baseball fan, but I bet it would be a great series between these 2. I would love to see it. I actually have tickets for game 4 at Denver if the Rockies make the NLCS.

I'd watch the NLCS regardless despite my disadvantage of time zone, but I'd watch the Rockies play any chance I got. I worry about baseball ratings especially when I hear about NASCAR and the Hillbilly 354 doing better in the ratings but they need to put a Nielsen box at my crib. Not talking about Janet Nielsen from High School either.

I mean even some of you baseball freaks have admit that a series like this would be :moneybag:Cant wait for the Dback and Rockie fans to chime in
You haven't watched the Rockies I see. It's okay.
exactly one game. The one game playoff.Im no baseball junkie and I expected to get blasted by all you guys, but on the surface that series has no appeal.
I don't think you'd get blasted if you'd been right. No offense, but the Rockies (and I'm a Dodgers fan) have me glued...and I don't know baseball like others here either. Anyway, they are not what you thought they were. :lmao:

It'll be exciting.

Either way, why the #### would I care about the ratings? Not going to line my pockets.

This is a dream NL final for me. I can't stand the Cubs and don't particularly like the Phillies.
come on, dream final ? nah.
Considering who was in the playoffs. I mean, ideally it'd be the Astros, but of the four teams that made the playoffs, CLEARLY COL and AZ are more likable than PHI or the Cubs.

Further proof that the NL West is the best division in beisbol.
Pads going to fly a "Best Division in Baseball" banner this year? Barely a difference from the other stupid banners San Diego teams are forced to fly.
Pads were the best team in the NL West this year before a couple of fluke injuries and horrible calls ruined their season. AZ is a great story, but they're a total fluke. Check out their run differential.

Rockies pitching has been decimated by injuries this year (lost three starters to season ending injuries). And they have a winning record against Padres, Giants, Dodgers, and inter league play this year.

Rockies also have a winning record (10-8) against the DBacks this year. Rockies in 6, with the 2 losses coming in one of the Webb-pitched games, and the other against Livan Hernandez.

I'm still hoping for a Yankees Diamondbacks series for some, albiet misplaced, revenge; but I wouldn't mind seeing the Rockies there either.

Geez, this series doesn't get started until Thursday?

I'm surprised baseball doesn't want a game on Wednesday to put more games on days that won't oppose football.

No interest in going to the games and dealing with the traffic and construction downtown Phoenix. I imagine they'll be giving plenty of free tickets away to the series. This isn't a baseball town. They'll be playing 3rd fiddle to the Suns and Cards. You have Nash/Amare/Marion/Hill for the Suns. You have Leinart(ok did)/James/Fitz/Boldin/Warner for the Cards. Though Chris Young is the most unknown commodity perhaps in the game, you don't pay to go see him. Little Upton could be the face of the franchise in time.

More interest in the Cardinals here than D'Backs right now. If they make the Series and play the Sox/Yankees, people will have more interest.

Tickets for games 1 and 2 are already well up the 300 level for best available. No reason for those games to not sell out.
