If Larry Fitz has a great day, does he become a sell high candidate? (1 Viewer)

Yes, he is on my team. The last two games have been great. W/ Boldin likely out at the minimum one more week, Warner starting and the cards playing with a bit of confidence, I expect another great game from Fitz.

If he is able to put up three good games in a row, what can we expect for the rest of the year? Expectations when Boldin comes back (i.e. games 1 & 3 were a snooze and #2 was just OK for a #3 or Flex player? What is the impact of Warner short term and long term? Does Ariz stay in the playoff hunt?

With these considerations I have, and most of you likely do too, does Fitz after a good week 6 (3 good wks in a row) become a serious sell high candidate or do you hold?

kurt warner usually has one blow up game and busts for the season. providing it doesnt happen against washinton next week, he should have a pretty good streak vs some weak pass defences.

looking at that i dont think there are many players i would give up for either wrs of the zona two-headed monster.

I've followed Fitz since his days @ Pitt. He's obviously got skills on the RMoss scale, but for whatever reason something hasn't clicked since in the NFL.

He's a great talent no doubt, but Boldin is just a better possesion WR at this point, and this seems to suit their offense more. Since in the NFL, Fitz has showed talent but the #'s have mostly disappionted by years end. This years probably wont be much different. Despite Boldin missing time, both have about = WR #'s in my league.

As far as raw talent goes, Fitz takes it.

As far as FF production goes, Boldin takes it, and is more consistent to boot (and I own neither in basically every league)

With Leinert in the game, he was all over Boldin or to nobody. Warner has built a rapport with Fitz and he's going to be fine.

Here's the problem. Leinert is out for the season.......so how long does Warner hold up? Fitz is money as long as Warner holds up. If he can hold up all season, you're good. If you feel like Warner is going to break down, you may want to move him.

i moved him for TO and have gotten burned the last 2 weeks. i was scared of the cards conservative looking O, but it appears it's not as bad as i thought. having warner back in there is great news for Fitz owners, with or without Boldin IMO.

are you crazy??? 8 tds as a rookie then 100 + catches and 1400 yards his second year, then he got hurt for the first and only time so far and still had 970 yards without 4 games.... Boldin is wicked too but seriousley, I find it hilarious how people killed boldin for not getting the TD's and always being hurt then Fitz goes down and Boldin catches a couple of TDs and now Fitz is a bum.....They're both great and they both had 1400+ yds with warner playing QB for a whole season.Do not trade

Speaking from a dynasty perspective, I would rather hang on to Fitz. I expect he will be playing for another team in 2008. There has already been some talk about that. I don't think Arizona wants to tie up that much money in 2 WRs. I believe Fitz is a free agent next year. Correct me if I'm wrong about that.

i'm not saying you do this in general, shroom man, but don't be like me and trade away the goods. LFitz is a must start on any FF team so why trade him away? For who?? Jerry Rice is not walking through that door...build around Fitzgerald. You can easily overmanage this thing. I think this is partially due to an addiction to "action" that is very strong during the draft period and on Sundays but can leave a "soul" void during the slow times which the FF player can look to fill with rash decisions and unwise trades etc... LFitz is a guy I have tried to target lately. As long as Warner can stay alive, the Az recievers will get theirs. "Sell high" may be one of the most flawed modes of thinking in FF, in a general way. Score high, win games, go to Super Bowl. I realize there are mitigating circumstances but it's still about the big picture, the course of a whole year.

They both had the same number of targets through the first three weeks. (Boldin did not play in week 4) Boldin actually had a ton of targets in week 3 to catch up to Fitz. Leinart in the first two weeks actually targeted Fitz more than Boldin. Now I know Boldin had better stats but Leinart was not necessarily looking more to Boldin.Edited to add that I would not sell Fitz. I think he and Boldin both will have some big games. It depends some on who gets covered by the #1 CB and what the defense gives them. Fitz is a top talent and he will start to shine as the year goes on.

If you can get a top 15 running back for the guy, I'd say after this week would be a perfect time to sell, if you have other options at WR moving forward. If Boldin sits out yet another week, wait another week to sell.
