If Marvin Harrison is out who starts in his place? (1 Viewer)

If Marvin Harrison is out who starts in his place?

Anthony Gonzalez has the most catches & yards (6 – 107) but that’s not saying much.

Aaron Moorehead is the only other WR with a catch (1 – 5) and he reportedly replaced Marvin.

They both had one pass target vs Denver.

Craphonso Thorpe has by far the most potential to get an announcer reprimanded.

Any thoughts?

i would guess moorehead gets the start, but unless my eyes were decieving me, the colts seemed to be lining ol' #44 up wide to the right quite often on sunday after marvin went down. gonzalez and wayne would stay in the same position, i assume.

judging from sunday, it'd be dallas that gets the biggest bump in value.

The Colts will just go to more 2 TE sets and split Dallas Clark out wide. He's the real winner if Harrison is out this Sunday, not Gonzalez or Moorehead.

Good eyes PollardVision ... we were playing against Marvin in one league and DClark in another and I was amazed at how effective Clark was, essentially playing Marvin's spot. I'll admit that I have no idea if they ran the same plays or if they have some contingency for this scenario ... BUT, if Clark knew Marvin's spot from a playbook perspective, I'm impressed. How many TEs in the league (other than Gates) would/could even attempt that? In my mind, DClark just gained a couple of respect notches in my book, more as an NFL player than a fantasy player (which he did superbly as well).Any Colts homers know the real scoop on this? Did Clark essentially play Harrison's spot?

Clark is more WR than he is a TE anyway. It's almost a joke that we get to use him as a TE in fantasy football. Yes, he lines up next to the tackle quite often, but that's simply another position from which to run a pass route. The next D-lineman he blocks will be his first.

anyone know harrison's status with his injury, will it just be a 1 week thing and then he will come back after the bye?

Clark really didn't play in Harrison's spot, though it seemed like it. The Colts had Wayne and Harrison on the same side most of the 1st quarter, and Clark on the other side - because they wanted the Broncos to declare where Bailey and Bly were going to line up. So, when Harrison went down, they had Wayne and Moorehead on the same side and Clark on the other side - so Moorehead replaced Harrison in the formations (but definitely not in production).
