I think normally the Cowboys would win this hands down, but all the recent winning by the Pats has really worn on people. That and how arrogant they sound and act on camera.

fla\/\/ed.

Other choices:

I'm rooting for the Pats.

I'm rooting for the Cowboys.

I'm not rooting for either team.

Even with the corrections, I expect "rooting against the Pats" to win the pool here, and for the margin of poll victory to extend with each additional Patriots victory (6 more).

I'll be rooting against whoever I don't have money on regardless of who is in the Super Bowl, just like I always do.

The only hatred I've ever had for Dallas was motivated almost entirely by Jimmy Johnson and Michael Irvin. Now that those guys are gone, I have no problem with that team at all. (Yes, I know Jerry Jones is still there, but he's too preposterous to hate). I actually like Tony Romo and I'd kind of like to see Wade Phillips win.

So I would definitely root against NE. Not a close decision.

I grew up and live in Philly, Dallas is despised here. I've always hated the Cowboys, especially those of the 90's and that ### Michael Irvin. That being said I hate the Patriots more then the current Cowboys. I'm a TO fan and I like Romo and Barber. The Pats have knocked my teams out of the playoffs (have rooted for Chargers as AFC team since 6 years old and obviously Eagles in Super Bowl) I am sick of the Pats and their smugness, always feeling they are disrespected, Brady can't do anything wrong, tuck rules, time outs, etc. My friend and I had this conversation last week at the Eagles game and both said we would root for the Cowboys which I can't believe I am saying.

I'll root for the Patriots because if they can rattle off a ton of super bowl wins this decade, it greatly diminishes the legacy and accomplishments of the Steelers. If they can win 6 this decade, winning 4 in a decade doesn't seem so impressive anymore. Although it must be mentioned that the Jerry Jones Cowboys teams were the only ones to hang an L on the Steelers in the Super Bowl, which makes them liked as well.

Add Troy Aikman to the mix and you've got a

Romo, Owens, Witten and Folk have helped carry my fantasy football team, so I'll root for them in the Super Bowl as a way of saying thanks.

Order of teams I root for:1-Seahawks2-Chargers3a-whoever is playing the Rams3b-whoever is playing the Steelers4-whoever is playing the Cowboys5-whoever is playing the RaidersBut the Girlz aren't getting past the Seahawks for the 2nd year in a row so it won't even come to that.

Born and raised in Dallas, so would definitely be rooting for the Cowboys. I thus had to cast my vote as voting against the Pats. Nothing personal against them, but they were put forward as the opponent, so I'd be rooting against them.

Why in the world would you hate Aikman? He was, and is, a class act all the way.My favorite player of all time btw, so I'm biased, but I've never heard of anyone hating Aikman.

I wanted Cowboys to win vs the pats in the regular season. BUT, if they meet in the superbowl, i want the pats to win. No way the cowboys win the 6th superbowl before the 49ers...

Can't answer, I like them both. I've always hated Dallas even though I'm from the Dallas area. I mean 40 years of hate. But last year I started liking them, because I'm a fan of Romo and Barber.

NE I just admire. I've enjoyed watching them win all their SBs. They are just amazing to watch. I'm a big fan of good execution and strategy, of which they are masters.

As an Eagles fan, I can't imagine rooting FOR Dallas but that's where I am. Last year and even before I kinda liked the Pats for my AFC team. I've rooted for the Sox since I was a kid - it's was Dad's favorite team.

I admire Brady, probably the best QB ever - could never admire Moss since he quit like a dog on another NFL team. Unfortunately, the attitude of some of the Pats fans in this forum have totally turned me against them. It took a while but I guess I've read too many "eom" posts because now I just want somebody to beat them. :goodposting:

I'm a Redskins fan, and I wouold root for the Cowboys. That should tell you how much the Pats/Pat's fans have turned me off this season.

I didn't read all the posts here, so my apologies if I repeated this, but WHY the stupid question?

WHY do I have to be rooting Against a team or player?

I will watch the game and ENJOY the great plays made by players from both teams.

If I have a favorite player in the game - I am a big MBIII fan, (but not a Cowboy fan) - I will cheer for their good plays.

If I don't have a wager on the game - and not likely to with that matchup - I just enjoy the contest.

Why are there so many interested in the negative side of all these questions?

As a Pats fan I would'nt be rooting against anyone. i would be rooting For the Patriots because if they play well no one can touch them!

I wouldn't root for the cowpies if they were the only team on the field. Throw in oakland as the opponent and I'd be rooting real hard for the gates of Hell to open beneath the field and swallow both teams into the fiery abyss.
