Coach-speak is coach-speak.

The Colts are going for 19-0, end of story. Peyton has his ring. If you don't think Peyton wants to do what Brady couldn't, you don't know Peyton very well.

The Colts will come out firing and try to bury teams early in these last three games, so that they can rest their starters a little bit in the 2nd half.

But anyone that benches a member of the Colts offense is going to be shedding alot of tears in the morning.

I want to agree with you but I'm afraid. Very afraid. Benching Addai for sure (for either Jamal Chuck or Beanie) and considering benching Wayne too (for dare I say, Hakeem Nicks). Ugh. This SUX.

Benching wayne for sims-walker?

I am going with every Colt I have in all leagues - you may only get 3 quarters but they are going to bury Jax IMO

But Caldwell doesn't (not as a HC), and last I checked, he was the head coach and made the decisions about playing time. Guys who are banged up will not play, and I'm sure there will be a quicker hook for other guys than if this game had any real meaning (beyond being undefeated).

They're defense is ravaged. If anyone gets sat, it'll be defensive players.

I've been saying for a while, this isn't an all or nothing deal. A football game is 60 minutes long and JAX defense isn't very good. As soon as IND is up by a comfortable margin, they'll plop everyone of value on the bench. Get warmed Curtis Painter and Mike Hart.

Which means Manning almost certainly won't have a whole game's worth of stats. If your skill player doesn't get a TD, they won't rack up any yardage to cushion the fall. Addai isn't piling up the yards in a 60 minute game, so if he plays 30 or 40, you're probably getting 50 and you better pray for a TD. Same for Wayne, Garcon and Clark.

I believe Polian when he says the health of his team is far more important than being undefeated.

Manning's opinion and Caldwell's opinion will be respectfully heard, but Polian is the boss.

I have pretty much lost all hope for Wayne to explode, so I hoping for just a decent game. 5 rec , 80 yds and TD. (PPR). My season is going to come down with Shaub, AJ, Welker and Ray Rice to carry me.

So Indy's defense is ravaged and if anyone sits it's them. Indy will plop their guys on the bench with a comfortable lead. And you can only hope for 50 and a TD.What about Jacksonville's offense against a "ravaged" Colts' D when this home game is a must win for the Jags? What will it take to get to a "comfortable" lead for Indy? To get to that comfortable lead, we can only hope for 50 and a TD from all of Addai, Wayne, Garcon, and/or Clark? That doesn't add up to me.

I am a Colts fan! I am worried about winning tonight's game as Jax always plays us tough. Even so, I am playing BOTH Addai AND Garcon!

Good god that's horrible. Please stop.

It's week 15. Good grief guys, we are FOUR weeks away from the Colts first playoff game. Who ever benches their player's in week 15?

Of course they are going to bench guys that are banged up.

But they are going for 19-0, and Peyton is going to throw the ball around and they are going to score a ton of points.

Jax usually plays them tough. It's on the road. The weather might be an issue. The Colts are banged up. It's a short week.If you don't think there's any risk at all, you're dreaming.

I am debating Eli over Peyton. My scoring system is Milestone so if P is benched im going to end up with mediocre QB play this week. I think Peyton's ceiling is low this week.

If they are benching even a few starters then they wont be playing with their best players and I am not sure how they will react.

This is my chance in a very old 5 keeper that I have never won. figures

I hope that this is not one of those threads posted up tomorrow morning with someone pointing a shirt at it...

DISCLAIMER: Wayne owner, and I am starting him because, well, after him, my WR's suck. No other analysis needed.

The game still has to be played, but not sure where the "burying" theory comes in. I am sure everyone has different approaches, but I always like to look at the side and total on games with "coin flip" player starts. The Colts are only favored by 3, so at least in the betting world, no one is calling for a blowout.

Wayne over Randy Moss and Holmes here for the championship. I like the matchup, Wayne is still a stud despite being injured and on a cold streak, and he will get the start and hopefully play enough this game since there are still 2 games left to go afterwards. It isn't a sure thing but it is an acceptable risk to take.

Came here to get thoughts on wayne but also on the confidence pool around this game.. The line is 3, they do play indy tough

Incidentally, while I don't expect them to lose to the Jags tonight (not that I'd mind a big game from MJD) ... if the Colts DO lose, I really like the NYJ defense in Week 16. Effectively becomes a must start. I say the Colts regulars all take a nap next week and the healthy ones go out for a stretch and play for a bit Week 17 against the Bills.

Did Peyton and Wayne have a falling out? He hasn't thrown him the ball in a month and hasn't even looked his way tonight.

Manning may not end up with the best QB stats for the week, partly because Warner and Schaub have good matchups too, but I bet he'll be close to No. 1.

I wonder how many people sat Manning, Wayne and Clark for lesser options.
