If you had the #3 pick today in a TD only league (1 Viewer)

PRetty much split between taking a QB and a RB (most say LT). Tough choice for me. I kinda wish I had the 5th pick instead of 3rd. I should also say that each round I get the #3 pick.

8 teams in the league and I'm having a hard time deciding whether to go RB or QB with my first pick. I have the #3 pick.
Brady/Manning. If those two go 1-2, I'd go LT.
:D this was my thinking as well
Dude, there is no way you do not pick either LT or AD if Manning and Brady are gone. You are basically in the position of picking either the best rb or the worst qb. That is a no brainer. There is no way to predict what qbis going to be great next year, while rbs are always scarce. At the very least you will not have to worry about one of your rbs for the whole year. Even at 6 pts a peice, there will be MANY good qbs on the waiver wire to be had. If you wait until your 2nd pick you will pick from guys like Palmer, Favre, Shaub, Mc Nabb,or Gerrard. Any one of those guys could be better than Manning or Brady, depending on the circumstance. Remember that there are good qbs that come out of the woodwork every year and since most people have good qbs on their roster, they are easier to pick up and trade for. Hell, I won my 10 teamer with a guy that was not even drafted leading the charge(Warner). If I were you, not only would I take a rb first, I would go rb/wr or rb/rb depending on who is there. Also, if Moss is in the same situation next year, the that might be too tempting to pass on.

That is sort of f-ed up, but in that case I for sure would take Moss or LT. There is no way a reasonable person would take a qb in that situation seeing that the manning/Brady guys are going to stock up at rb with the 9th/10th pick.

Schaub, Mcnabb and Garrard won't be close to Peyton or Brady in a TD only league. But, if you're drafting 3rd and those 2 are gone, the difference between Romo, Brees, Favre, Roethlisberger, Hasselbeck, Warner, and Palmer was 6 TDs. In a 8 team league, that's all of your starting QBs. As receiving TDs count, the difference between LT or AD and the next batch of RBs is more significant. As with any league, you need to look at when QBs usually go. In one of my 12 team redrafts, QBs always go earlier than I think they should, but if I want a top QB, I'll have to take one earlier than in other leagues. Considering the scoring system, I've found it worthwhile most years. This year, I waited too long and took Eli Manning. Lucky for me, I also grabbed Warner in the late rounds and that paid off big. Without a doubt, I'm taking LT or Peterson. If you want to play it safer for one year, the choice is clearly LT. Peterson could be better, but 2nd year players tend to carry more risk.

Sorry, everyone. I should have clarified more. I was in a hurry this morning. This was just for playoff teams remaining. We have sort of a unique league, so I should have made myself more clear.

Oh. In that case I'd like to change my answer from LT to "Wrong board!"
