Pigs are a magical animal, I celebrate all of their delicious offerings. Praise the lard.

You forgot Pig's Knuckles and head cheese
Fried Pork Chitterlings, or ChitlinsLiver MushLiver PuddingScrappleAny other regional pork brain, liver, and cornmeal delicacy I'm forgetting.
Kielbasa and many good Chinese/Polynesian dishes.

I cut all mammals out of my diet about 16 years ago. Haven't looked back.
You're one of my favorite posters here. But I'm not sure that we should be tolerating your kind on this board anymore. This thread continues to bring nothing but unhappiness. :sadbanana:

Chicken is meh... it's versatile yet i never really crave it... i'd miss the occasional fried chicken, but really I can do without.

Don't take away my seafood! Fish, shrimp, scallops, mahi, walleye...

If you forced me to choose between only land bearing and only water bearing animals to eat the rest of my life it'd be tough.

Water for me. The loss of bacon would be tragic, but the decision is easy.(i'm still protesting the OP's bad idea of including eggs and milk as meat though, so flawed.)

Pig. I don't eat much sausage/bacon. I eat a lot more chicken than anything else on the list, but it wouldn't be a huge loss. Fish/seafood would be rough though.

I'm not casting aspersions on other peoples' gustatory choices. I painted too rosy of a picture in the initial comment. Every now and then I miss good BBQ ribs, pepperoni pizza, a nice steak, and fully understand the allure of bacon. There just aren't satisfactory substitutes for those. But overall it hasn't been tough removing mammals from my axis of edibility. Definitely gave myself a nice health boost as a result.

Most likely: Pig

Least likely: Chicken

Too many good things come from cows. I can do without bacon, ham and pork sausage; it'd be better for my health if I did anyway.

Chicken and eggs are too much of a staple to give up. I enjoy seafood and beef more than chicken, but I eat too much of it to eliminate it from my diet.

I haven't ate cow or pig in > 20 years

Not a single day goes by where I ever crave any cow meat.

But, sometimes I miss the crap out of bacon, ribs, sausage

So, easiest to get rid of is cow.

Fish is my favorite "meat", but after some thought, there is no way I could give up chicken. Tons of dishes to be made from chicken, and eggs, mmmmm eggs.

I agree. It's not meat if there are no muscle fibers.I love cheese.

I'd have to say chicken. I can always eat a chicken fried steak.

No way I can give up teh swine, cow or shellfish.

The eggs mean more to me than the actual chicken. Plus, turkey and duck are reasonable substitutes.

Pork really only has pork ribs(replaced by beef ribs), sausages (there are beef sausages) and bacon (beef bacon and corned beef hash are pretty poor breakfast substitutes).

Least likely: Fish....with shellfish, there's too many varieties.

Most likely: Pork..... I can make do without it.

I have zero respect for any individual willing to give up bacon.

My niece once said that she wont eat pork because a pig is unable to look up to the sky where god is :lmao:

Most likely: Pork

Least likely: Chicken

This is a tough choice...if I were younger, it might have been seafood, but seafood is good for you. Cows are out simply because cutting out milk completely would be brutal. I also love steak and hamburger. The worst to cut though would be chicken...no eggs, means no more awesome breakfasts (quiches, omlettes, benedicts, etc.), also fried chicken is one of my faves, grilled chicken salads are top notch, and losing BW3 wings would be terrifying to me.

I do love me some pork, but the best elements of pork (bacon) can be replaced:

bacon with turkey bacon

ribs with bbq chicken and wings

shredded pork shoulder with shredded beef/chicken/turkey

ham with SPAM

I'd give up chicken, and it's not very close. What little flavor chicken ever had has been completely bred out of it and all flavor must come from the cooking method. Oddly, this lack of flavor is why it's so popular.Chicken is the Ben Stiller of proteins. You could say similar things about pork, but there's simply no way to get all the fat/flavor out of a pig (though people are certainly trying). I have no idea how anyone could give up beef or seafood. Both have a variety of cuts/species that you can simply throw on a grill for 2 minutes (or not at all) and they'll be delicious on their own merits.
:goodposting:This is where I am although I think I'm much higher on pork than you.
I love pork. I do BBQ catering. It pains me to disparage pork, but I think I'd have a harder time giving up beef or seafood.Pork has much more flavor than chicken (particularly the fattier cuts, of course), but some of the cuts suffer from the same problem as chicken. Now, I'd take pork loin or tenderloin over chicken in a heartbeat, but it just doesn't come packed with the same flavor as beef or seafood. There's a reason beef and seafood generally need less "help" from the cooking method to achieve great flavor. They simply have more flavor, as well as more variety.

Already cut all chicken out of my diet, except eggs. Every time I've had food poisoning, its been after eating chicken. It just seems more difficult for people to prepare correctly.

OK--been considering this since it came up and finally voted. Haven't read the responses but as expected I'm in the minority on both counts. :D

No intentions of giving up any of them, obviously. Lately though, it seems sometimes like I've got to really go out of my way to eat a good steak. I'm looking at buying a quarter or half cow, because the quality of supermarket beef pretty much sucks, but the really good vendor I knew around here is no longer available. Testing, testing, not there yet. So beef has pretty much been marginalized in my menu, and that was what I decided would be gone if I had to choose. Obviously glad I don't have to choose!

And, having long gone through the discussions of benefits of going vegetarian, and in my parties always having to prepare for friends who are vegetarian, what I've always maintained is that if I had to go vegetarian I could do it--if it allowed for eating fish. That's my favorite, including all forms of shellfish. If I were down to only one meat that's the one I'm going with, having lived most of my life on or near a beach where it's fresh not frozen.

Not at all surprised I'm in the minority here on both counts. Pork will always be on my menu because of the umph when bbq'd, smoked, baked or fried (bacon, anyone??!!); chicken/poultry is just way too versatile and universal to consider giving up. Yeah--I coulda nitpicked and said I'd give up chicken but keep turkey but didn't think that was the point!

:coffee:

I can replace cow with bison for most stuff I eat, but I really don't eat much red meat as it is. Bacon, eggs, shrimp, and oysters are irreplaceable in my diet.

Being from Ohio, I would give up fish. I'm not a huge fish fan, but do love shrimp...but sadly, the freshness here is not ideal. Chicken is too versatile to give up. It would be my least likely. Plus, wings are delicious.

Yeah, if I didn't live near the Gulf, I might not feel strongly about seafood.

That's debatable
