On a brighter note my brother, my friend, and I are going to finalize the lease on renting a 5 bedroom home. Glad to move out if the apartment the ex and I shared the past 3 years.

We had to search craiglist for 2 more roommates since out other friends couldn't move out at this time, but we found two cool people to live with. One is a 28 year old guy who is a bachelor like the 3 of us and likes sports and drinking. The other is a 21 year old school secretary/waitress who likes to go to raves and has plenty of facebook pictures of making out with cute girls. She's probably a 5 on the offdee scale but her her friends look good. Let's hope she brings them over.

2012 is definitley turning out way different than I imagined. Hopefully the rest of the year is nothing but awesomeness!

 
All this tough talk ("get her drunk and bang her" "pick up a hot chick right in front of her") is good, but don't fool yourself into thinking you're bulletproof against the ex just yet. You think you're over her...talk bad about her...hook up with other chicks...you know in your mind you're better off without her. But you might be vulnerable if she comes calling and shows serious remorse (which she might do).

I speak from experience, my friend.

I was crazy in love with a girl in college. We dated for a couple years, talked marriage...she eventually crapped on me over the summer (not literally, dentist) and we broke up. At first, I was beside myself. Desperately wanted her back. Over the course of the final month of summer (before we returned back to college), my heartache turned to hatred. I was determined to show this chick I didn't give a ####.

When we got back to campus, I was a little nervous about my first encounter with her because I hadn't had to see her in about 6 weeks. I avoided her and actually started seeing someone else (a friend of hers). We went out for a few weeks, laughed at my ex and how crazy she was...made little jokes about her. My ex actually started kinda stalking us, which only gave me more satisfaction.

Then, all of a sudden, the ex calls me and says she wants to talk. I KNEW I shouldn't give her an ear, but for some reason I did. Something made me want closure...I wanted to hear her say she was wrong and then have the satisfaction of walking away from it.

But just when I thought I was out...she pulled me back in. She turned on the tears, groveled, apologized, tried to raise questions about the other girl I had been seeing. One thing led to another, and she had me on a string once again.

I started dating her again...never called the "other girl" back. It lasted 2 months before she broke it off again.

To this day, it's one of the things in my life I wish I could have a "do-over" on. I should NEVER have met her to talk. I think she didn't want to get back with me as much as she wanted to pry me away from the other girl...she just wanted control and to be the one who moved on first.

I loathe that #### to this day.

Been married to the "other girl" for 14 years in June. :yes:

All that to say, don't fool yourself into thinking your invincible where this chick is concerned. DO NOT give her an opening to stunt the process of moving on. Do not sleep with her. Do not hold hands with her. Do not be her "date" to the wedding.

Avoid her like the bubonic ######' plague.

That's the part that scares me the most especially since her friends tell me they think she'll be back.

I know I can't trust her ever again. I know it will not be the same. I know she's not the person I fell in love with. I know all this, but I'm scared ####less of what I will do if that call ever comes.

Until that day... #### that #####!

What you do is anal, then wipe on her curtains and leave, never to see her again. Ta da, closure!
 
What you should do should depend on how you truly feel. She will, at some point, want to at least see you again. It pretty much always happens unless this trainer dude is her future husband (unlikely).

Should you still have feelings for her and have uncertainty = don't see her. It'll just hurt more.

Should you realize you are over her (hint: you aren't yet, not even close - should take like 6 months if you really loved her) = assuming you are single, do anything dirty to her that she'll let you do. Don't listen to others saying not to do this, if you are truly over her then using her like this is freaking vindicating and fun.

You should be out picking up random desperate single chicks, extra vulnerable on valentines day. The challenge is to nail 2 or more different ones tonight (at the same time or separately - whatever works best for you). I'm not kidding. Even if you don't pull it off, you should be shooting for it. If you do pull it off, make sure you're absolutely clear that there's zero chance of a long term relationship. No commitments at this time, you're just off a break up, blah blah blah.

I get you need to go to the wedding. If you can't bring someone ask your friend if they can at least help you out and swap the seating arrangement so you don't have to be at the same table as her. Listen to Ray. Avoid her and avoid the temptation (if not for you then for her). No you do not contact Hawaii. If she sends you a text it's fine to respond with a simple and generic text like you would send anyone else but that's it.

Here's how you can chart your progress with relearning how to use your dangle. If she texts you tonight at around 10 tonight then congrats you are the best lay she has in her life right now. If she doesn't then you need to sit home and study tape or go out to the gym (bars) and do some reps (pigs).

So yesterday was the birthday dinner. It was actually fairly uneventful. It was a group of only 6 because there were a few flakers. Not as big as I would hope. We were cordial to each other. Greeted each other and that's about it. We had one exchange as we were leaving the restaurant to go back to my friends place. She was drunk already. It was kinda weird seeing her again. When I first saw her I was kind of kicking myself about how I could lose someone who was pretty hot. However, as the night wore on I started to see some of her imperfections especially compared to HI in the body department: shorter legs, flatter ###, body isn't as tight. Her face is still beautiful, but overall she didn't seem so hot anymore to me. Can definitely do just as good and likely better. Plus, I remember how ####### annoying she is when she's drunk.

So hopefully that's the last I see her for a while. The next time I'll see her for sure is at a wedding in June. What's funny is the friend that is getting married is the one who threw the party where the ex and I first met. The friend (a girl) even told me that night that the ex had a BF, but I swooped in anyways just like personal trainer did to me. So what comes around goes around.

Just glad the night went smoothly and I even though some feelings popped up, I also realized she's not as great as I used to think when I was in love with her.

That comment is telling. She is worried about what your mutual friends think, if you are feeling vindictive make a point to hang out with said mutual friends soon. Be sure they see how you are having a ball being single and you never realized how miserable you were with the ex.

Can't really fool these mutual friends. The group was pretty much my best friend, his girlfriend, my brother, the ex, and one of their lady friends. So everyone there knows pretty much everything that is going on from both sides. Pretty sure she knows everyone thinks she did me dirty. It is what it is. She's still a ####in #####.

While true, I would make sure it's not left up to two soon to be newlyweds with a boatload of other stuff on their plates.
 
Damn none of my friends want to go out. Do people really go to bars by themselves?

I do have work tomorrow so I guess I can just sleep and tomorrow will be a regular day again.

Met with the roommates again and found out the 5th girl as actually a go go dancer instead of a waitress! Jackpot!

Also ready to jump into the online dating scene. I'll continue to meet girls when I go out, but I also want to see what the online world has to offer as far as hooks ups and hopefully meeting women with substance like someone who actually has a legit job.

Would appreciate any tips or where to start since I know some guys here have had success.

A go-go dancer that looks like this? Not the classiest establishment I'm assuming. 5: Starting to be unattractive, but certain qualities work in her favor. Nothing major, but minor problems are more common

Cute nursing student at work today told me: "You have the nicest teeth in the whole world." I replied "Thanks. You have a great smile too." Haven't talked to her too much to see her status and what not since she's following another nurse.

Don't think I can give her my number today especially since they have 3 more weeks of clinical, but I work on call so it's not a guarantee I see her again. If i give her my number and it's a fail it could be awkward if I see her again. Also, not sure the rules about staff nurses and nursing students.

Oh well. Feels good to be complimented by a cute girl. She looks like a 7 in loose fitting scrubs, but body looks nice so could be better in a civilian clothes.

Complete non-schtick answer...do not hit on people you work with, especially anyone that you could be considered a supervisor over. She may not be your student, but you are the RN and could be viewed as a boss. No way you should take a chance with your job and maybe your future prospects for a quick piece of ###.

Better for us, catch her in the medroom and drop trow and report back. :popcorn:
