I have hated this guy every second he has been president but he has been cut throat and admirably these past few weeks. Normally he's on TV and stumbling around about whatever dumb legislature or shenanigans he's getting into.

He's pretty funny when he's on wrestling.

But these past few weeks I've seen a leader join countries together to fight foreign terrorism. We were the first country to step up and if we defeat ISIS we will make a lot of friends in the Middle East.

Way to step up Mr. President! He lead a meeting at the United Nations a few says ago. He's on fire. It's like he's baited these bad guys up for 6 years and now is going to mow them down.

He's a C- for a president right now. He helped a lot of people, just not me. Best case scenario I give him a B-. Probably about the same as Bush.

Sounds about right.

He's running out of time to bring his final grade up to a "D".

Not a problem.

It appears that some people feel that simply having "girly parts" (they won't let me type Vag###t) is qualification enough to fill the office of POTUS.

They must feel this way because this is the ONLY thing that sets Hillary apart from any other possible candidate.

Easily the worst president ever, in my opinion, both on a domestic and foreign policy front. He had better hope that someone come in and clean up his mess or it will be ugly.

Unless something incredible happens between now and the 2016 elections NOTHING is going to get cleaned up.

Unfortunately for America, we have a two party system.

One party consists of idiots and the other party consists of incompetents.

One side wants to screw it up and has the means to do so while the other side is too stupid and lazy to stop them.

Right now we are all on an airline that's going to crash in the ocean.

Our pilots are dead and only two people on board will even attempt to fly the plane to safety.

One of them has never even seen an airplane until today and has a death wish while the other can only spell a-i-r-p-l-a-n-e.

We aren't going to be safe no matter which one of them climb behind the controls.

Our only chance is if we somehow find someone on board who knows what they're doing and are willing to do it.

oh...and we have to be smart enough to let him try.

I may have edited to add this after your post...but, here it is.

Look..somehow, this plane got off the ground and made incredible strides in gaining altitude and maintaining course but something has gone horribly wrong along the way.

We are losing altitude and are way off course.

Somehow we reached a pinnacle and then somehow, we lost our way.

It is absolutely impossible to blame this mess on one leader (or party) but we have to find a way to fix it!

Obviously, what we've done is wrong and it happened sometime after WWII.

We need to find out where we screwed up and do what we can to fix it....I don't really care who gets credit for it.

I do know that as long as politicians act in the best interest of their party instead of acting in the best interest on the country....it'll all be over.

Just another failed nation will get added to the list of those who gained greatness in the past and then failed.

Other than the "Gilded Age" (1870's - 1910) I think the best time for America was the 1950's

America had just established itself as a "Superpower" having just won WWII.

The one thing that made America prosper the most during this time was the fact that the government got out of the way of the private sector.

The govt. dialed back from a war time industry and the private sector kept going....building a fantastic economy.

We were respected around the globe and there was work for everyone at home.

Sometime after this....the politicians screwed it up.

 
There is nothing that can be done to save the airplane anymore. That ship sailed 40 years ago. Between the institution of Nixon's HMO Act and Reagan coming into office with his trickle-down, most people overlook the impact the decade after Vietnam had on where this country currently stands. We're essentially at a point of no return, as we keep on creating new ways to burn money we don't even have with various new programs to simply band-aid the mistakes of 40 years ago. They are all just temporary solutions that don't address the root of our problems. And that's just on the domestic front...
