I'm starting Bowe over ----- (1 Viewer)

I figure this week I may give him the nod. He's been terrible & dropping passes but at least if he doesn't do anything this week against Houston - he can be dropped.

I'm starting Bowe over

Mike William(TB)

Maclin

Lance Moore

Anybody else going to give it a shot.

Over the next 5 weeks, the Chiefs play the league's 5 worst pass defenses. If you're going to have him on your roster to start him, the next 5 weeks are the best time to do so.

I am considering starting him over Calvin Johnson, depending on how Calvin responds over the next couple days.

over Dustin Keller. and Kenny Britt. should i rethink things?this is a WR - WR - WR/TE league
Over Keller? Seriously? Might as well start Chambers too.
well, it's a tough choice. if there is any week for him to perform it's against the HOU pass defense this week. this is also a decision based on Calvin being out of his game. If Calvin is in, I have to start him. Keller has the potential for a TD and a few yards. Bowe has a chance for a TD and many yards. Plus my matchups this week cover up a mistake, if Bowe sucks this week.I have Orton, Bradshaw, Charles, Roddy, Percy and Bowe going as of right now.

Just dropped Bowe for M. Williams TB. Someone else can have the headache of dealing with talented D. Bowe. I had him last year as well and the guy always has a good match up on paper but when the game starts the whole time you will be asking yourself why you starting him that week.

I heard a good joke the other day on some podcast....................... No one is waiting in line to let D. Bowe hold their baby!

I'm starting him, Haley had good things to say about him all week, even after the drops.

With that said, if CJ wasn't hurt I wouldn't start him.

Modifed PPR league... I'm pondering Bowe vs Mike Williams TBB over Calvin Johnson and Eddie Royal.

It's gotta put up or shut this week vs Houston. If Bowe's quiet this Sunday I'll probably just cut him.

I drafted Bowe as my WR2 this year. He stinks!

Thank goodness Nicks evolved to more than a WR3, Santonio Holmes is back, and Mike Williams (TB) and Jabar Gaffney arent awful.

I wouldn't start Bowe over anybody.

Starting Bowe over Hines Ward! Even though Big Ben is back.................I'm guessing Pitt sticks with what got them to 3-1.........running the rock and defense. Even if Ben hucks it down the field a few times I'm guessing Wallace would be the deep target. I also think this game could be over by halftime meaning..........not many second half passes.

I really, really want to give Bowe a chance this week, but I just can't trust him. I picked up Kenny Britt off the WW to start instead. Bowe may very well go off, but I'm not starting him again until I see that. Part of the problem is that I hate Cassel too. He would rather keep going to Moeaki all game instead of going long. I'm just thrilled I have Miles Austin and Malcolm Floyd. They definitely picked up bonehead Bowe's slack this year! I am on the verge of dropping his azzzz...

I did exactly the same thing. Picked up Britt to start over Bowe.

What was MWTB still doing on waivers? 4 team league?

As I mentioned in the other Bowe thread, I'm starting him as my #3WR over Mason and Murphy. Against Houston's next to last ranked pass defense, this is as good week as any to try to catch lightning in a bottle.

I'm starting him in a PPR league over Garcon, Collie and Mike Thomas.

Also playing Moeaki at flex (Keller is TE.) Houston pass D is just that bad.

Debating between Bowe and Knox in a ppr. Have had Knox pencilled in since Wed. Probably not changing that because Knox has a favorable matchup and Cutler should be back, but I would start Bowe with decentg confidence today.

ETA: Having Bowe and Knox kept me from grabbing Gaffney off waivers (shorter roster league, I now have top waiver priority and didn't want to use it) FWIW.

This thread is a lot longer than I thought it was going to be.
That is because facing the Texas pass defense is very promising.. only reason I have Bowe in there this week.
Same here.....expectations are a little elevated compared to other weeks where I have sat Bowe.Incidentally, I am also starting Cassel and Moeaki along with Bowe in one league because of the porous Texans pass D.

I'm debating starting him over Tampa Mike. If I wanted to be assured of at least 6-8 points, I would go with Mike Williams, but if I want to try to get an explosive day, I think I'll lean toward Bowe. If he can somehow hold on to the ball, he has a chance to put up some monster stats on a day like today. On the other hand, he has a better chance of coming up with next to nothing. The rest of my team allows me to take that risk though, so I'm likely going to go with Bowe.

I'm done starting him in the one league I own him. For me, today screams of one of those deals where Monday morning you are talking with a buddy about "How could Bowe not produce in this match-up? I mean, all logic indicated this was the week!" It happens often, and I don't want to have that conversation tomorrow. Bowe has reached the point where I have to see him produce in a game before I can think about it anymore. I know this is a bad way to go often, as you end up missing the one big game, but I just have 0 confidence in Bowe.

Although I wondered the same thing........this type of response is straight up tired in the Shark Pool. BTW....I'm starting Bowe over Hines Ward today.

I pulled the trigger on Bowe today. Starting him along side Roddy White and Santana Moss.

Calvin Johnson, Mike Williams-TB, and Eddie Royal on my bench.

Battle for 1st place in our division today.

Well, I started him over Harvin, though I was too embarassed to post that here till I saw how the game was going. :)

Obviously it was good to see him, you know, catch the ball, but the encouraging thing going forward was that he got a healthy amount of targets, despite managing 40-odd carries and 230-odd yards on the ground.

7-9+ targets and a nice matchup against the Jaguars could provide another productive week. I expect them to win the game handidly, though, so I hope he gets worked into the gameplan early, because I bet he doesn't get many targets late.

It is a 12 team league and you only have 12 total roster spots. $5 for every Waiver Wire pickup. Not many trades in the league but Waiver Wire is always crazy. Looks Like Bowe came through for a week. Well what's done is done.
