I'm starting Brandon Jackson over... (1 Viewer)

Sitting Brandon Jackson over Bradshaw in 2 leagues where I have both but was curious who is starting Jackson and over what player(s)?

He might easily be the best waiver wire pickup in the last few years so I know that many (myself included) are itching to use him.

To get this rolling....

Sitting BJackson for Bradshaw and DWilliams in one league.

Sitting BJackson for ADP, Foster and Bradshaw in another league.

I think Jackson will fill in fine for Grant. He isn't Grant but I think 800-6 Td's aren't out of the question. He has been injured in the past, but he admitted early on he didn't condition right and because of Grant he does now. He is bigger now and the HC McCarthy has always said he is an every down back.

I like the guy. I think he will give good value this year. His contract is up after the year so incentive to do well is high for him. Especially since this is the first real shot he is getting to be the #1 RB.

I've decided to go the other way today: I'm benching Bradshaw for Jackson. I don't get a good vibe about the Giants running attack this game. I know, I know "But....but.....did you see Indy last week?!?!?!" Indy can't be as bad as they showed last week(can they? Maybe they can. We'll see, I guess) and I could potentially see a scenario where they overcommit to taking away the run. At least until it burns them, anyway(i.e. Nicks or Manningham get deep a couple times, etc).

I don't blame you at all. I was agonizing over this decision as well (which was the impetus for this thread). I can see Green Bay making BJackson the focal point of the offense once they establish a lead. But I can also see Bradshaw absolutely manhandling the Indy run defense. I think he is more talented than Foster --- although I know he won't duplicate Foster's numbers. I think both are a strong play this week.

Not a Jackson owner myself, but the team I am playing has been going back and forth between Jackson and Mathews. Right now (30 min before kickoff) it's Jackson...

Over Forte...Bears homer here and this is a painful decision, but I just don't see Forte being able to repeat week 1. Hoping that Jackson ends up as the real deal here...

Starting Jackson over Marion Barber, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Jonathan Stewart. Wasn't a hard decision.

Starting BJackson over Best...
What a monumentally bad mistake. Except of course for my opponent putting up something like 35 with only 1 player left and me with close to 80 and two players to go. Best is not seeing the bench any time soon...
Did the exact same thing. Won't make that mistake again. Fortunately it didn't cost me the game.
Started Jackson over Best like a lot of others here apparently. Oof.

I felt guilty with all the hype with Jackson being such a great WW pickup and getting him in my league as I was first in the WW order. With the numbers he put up against one of the worst rush defenses in the NFL one wonders if he won't be on waivers very soon, after they look to trade for a legit starting RB.

I started him over Reggie Bush...so it remains to be seen how that will play out.

It doesn't matter, though, as the rest of my team was solid and I'm cruising to a victory with 3 to play on Monday night still.

The way I looked at it, Best had a couple of scores in week 1, but TD's are a fickle thing. His YPC was atrocious, and looked at that as a more reliable predictor of success. Well, it seems the guy is going to be force fed the ball at the goal line, so no matter what Best needs to start as even if he has 20 carries for 51 yards the guy will likely have 2 TD's.

As for Jackson, how the hell does he look that bad against Buffalo? I thought he was a slam dunk for 120 and a TD.

He didn't get a ton of carries and he only caught one pass....I expected more, but it wasn't a complete zero at least with the TD.
