I'm Starting Dexter McCluster Over... (1 Viewer)

Seems to be conflicting opinions about this guy. FBG is high on him (Top 15 in PPR) while noted poster MOP claims the McCluster love is "bullspit."

KC is playing at home and McCluster got all 9 of his carries last week in the 2nd half against SD and averaged 5.0 per carry. Not effective as a receiver.

MIN is #4 against the run but has yielded a couple of big receiving games this year to Mathews/Tolbert and Best.

Who's rolling with him?

I think his role increases every week as Tjones continues to do absolutely nothing with his touches.

Not sure I am too high on him yet, in a PPR I would say he is more of a flex guy at this point.

I'll be putting him into my flex in the 1 league I have him in. Sitting Santonio Holmes, even with Holmes track record going against Baltimore. It is a .5/rec and he is listed as a WR in my CBS league. I expect him to get about 15-18 touches with around 8 carries for 50 yds and 8 rec for 45. I also think he will score. That would net him 21 points in our scoring system. Of course I'm higher than most on him, so I expect to have some take shots at this post. To which I will reply, let's see come Sunday.

Bang. But I hope I'm wrong, since he's on my bench for the moment.

0.5 ppr - going back and forth between him and Marshawn Lynch for my RB2.

Probably going with Lynch - kinda feelin he is safer for 8 - 10 pts vs. a higher upside with Dexter - still haven't decided though.

And yeah, things aren't so well, can you tell???

Oof. Must be a Charles owner...

the 3 wr i drafted in a 14 team ppr league are

2rd wayne

4th bryant

5th holmes

needless to say thing's haven't gone so well. last week i thought there was a BIG potential for wayne and the colts to be shut down..and they were...this team can't score a TD.

i have mccluster and an. brown on my bench....i'm prolly going to start them both...leaving holmes as my #1....lol..i just expect so little from wayne, drawing double coverage and every top corner..and unless the colts get blown out early..i see such little value w/ him...regardless of everyone says.

at least w/ mccluster you know you're going to get 8 points conservativly..w/ the potential for more

Even Football Guys staff is divided on McCluster. Henry and Dodds are much higher on him than Bloom is.
What's interesting about Bloom's projection is it is very bullish ypc running but virtually squat receiving...I would think it would be opposite against MIN. Best flourished last week receiving (obviously one big play but McCluster has similar explosiveness) but was shut down running.

Yeah I really dont know what to do with this guy. 3 points scoring last week. I go from Kenny "amazing" Britt to 3 points. I am not sure he is even worth a roster spot at this point.

I started him over Bowe in my PPR league since I thought he would have guaranteed touches and some short dump off passes and the Vikings have had the ability to shut down teams' #1 WR (except for Megatron).

McCluster had 6.80. Bowe had 21+. Awesome.

I've tried to move him but no one in my league is high on him so I guess I'll let him sit for awhile.
