im starting jordan todman vs buf over ? (1 Viewer)

I know that team website depth charts are just for show and all but is there any specific reason as to why they still list Denard Robinson as 2nd in the RB depth chart on jaguars.com and Todman 3rd? It's not that they haven't been making regular updates (i.e. both Stephen Burton and Justin Forsett have been removed since being placed on IR).

I have AP on both of my teams. Nothing like playing the semi's with Todman starting. He beats Ellington and L. Miller though....I hope.

Tough time with todman vs gerhart vs C Patterson for Ppr flex. Logic would say if ap is out then gerhart. But then he's Q himself with a bad hammy. So I should go todman. But I wanna play Patterson. But I can't risk using him in semis over a "starting" rb. That's my thought process. And it goes in a circle.

Same here, Gerhart or Todman. Leaning Todman but would hate to see MjD a go and miss that news. Of MjD sits I am starting Todman over Gerhart.

Funny I have Trent Richardson and he isn't even in the running right now.

Sean Jensen ‏@seankjensen 8h

And #Vikings RB Toby Gerhart also not expected to play, which means lots of Matt Asiata and even Joe Banyard.
Ian Rapoport reporting both AD and Gerhart "likely" out. As of 4:00 am PST (twitter).

Semifinals.

Started Ryan Matthews on Thurs.

Probably starting Todman over Ray Rice and Chris Johnson as my RB2.

Not starting him over any of my WR as a flex.

If mjd miracously plays would you guys start pierre thomas or rainey? Don't guys normally listed as doubtful normally sit? The report saying mjd is going to test it out make me feel he's alot closer to playing than we thought

Another factor is the Jags are playing well, have had longer to prepare = more rest, and Buffalo will be making their second straight away game in which they were already blasted last week.

True, but if shorts is out their be 8 in the box all day for Todman, if the Jags can't pass it be a long day for Todman

Run run run for the jags? I hope so!
It is the Bills pass D that is poor. They sold out to stop the pass and gave up three long TDs the last two weeks. Apart from those, they gave up less than 3ypc.

Those starting Todman are hoping for a long one or it will be a 60 yard day.
Todman has had two long runs in two different preseason games 2012-13. A long one is not impossible.

The lack of Shorts (plus no Blackmon for a while now) has me a little bit edgy. There is Mike Brown and Sanders, so maybe this works out as more 2 WR sets (anyone know bip about the Jags pass game?) and more reliance on the run, but then what do the Bills have to worry about in the passing game? This game could be a real clunker, one of those end of season dull-fests, for both teams.

I'm having a helluva time trying to decide between Pierre Thomas and Todman in my PPR league. I may play it safe and stick with Frenchie.

This might be game that the field goal kickers score the most points

I agree. My gut is starting to say stay away.

Jags are worst in the league at rushing, less than 80 ypg!

This has home run swing written all over it. The opportunity is there for a good game no doubt. But there is a low floor here too, and the chance of a strikeout is a real possibility. If you need a homerun, swing away. If you like your chances in your matchup, maybe a low floor risk isnt wise.

Just the opinion of one Bills homer....

Ok, have the Bills allowed any/many long runs this year?

They allowed one just last week

That's right, Rainey, forgot about that.

Well said

Might be steady Freddy for me

He's still goal line over spiller... Right?
Sometimes there are no good options, is what it is - Spiller has me concerned on the Fast Freddie front. But then Jackson is just a plain damn good RB while Todman is a step from being a practice squad guy on a lot of teams.

As a saints guy do you like pierre thomas this week?
Well I'd hate to steer you wrong but I'll tell you what I think: last week vs Carolina the Saints seemed to do what works, the pass. I don't think the Rams have been too bad against the run, in fact I think they've been pretty good. I wouldn't expect more than 10-12 for 50-70 out of Pierre and that's if they're winning. The ceiling is when he can catch a swing pass or screen and take it a long way or hopefully for a TD, but that's a lot to gamble on. That was the Atlanta game, something like 4/40-50 yards receiving. His floor can be low because the Saints can just give up on the run like that. If I was starting him I would probably be expecting a 6-9 point game, hoping for a 8-12 point game and praying for a TD if things go right.

Considering Todman over Reece, Pierre Thomas, Ellington in PPR. Trailing badly after Thursday night I need a HUGE swing for the fences performance.

Saints aren't as good away from home, though they are playing in a dome.

Jennings unfortunately active today rendering Reece less attractive.

Same problem with Ellington and Mendenhall.

Comes down to Todman v. Pierre Thomas for me. Thomas seems to have higher PPR ceiling to me.

Anyone with more knowledge can maybe answer these questions...

-Is Todman a good receiving back and do the Jags throw to their RBs a bunch?

-Is there a chance that the Jags will try and figure out if Denard is anything today?

-I see that Jax has been better with the running game as of late, has anyone seen the games with any input on that?

I think I can only semi-answer the first question: I think Todman has been a good receiver out of the backfield. He isn't going to be successful in making any tough catches but he catches with good form. No idea if JAX will actually use him in that capacity though.
