I'm starting Kenbrell Thompkins week one over __________ (1 Viewer)

I'm starting him over

V. Brown

E. Sanders

K. Britt

(and Blackmon obviously).

If his targets and playing time go down this week with Amendola, Vereen, and Gronk all out, I may drop him outright though. His involvement is only going to go down as those guys get healthy.

 
FYI for what it's worth I have decided to bench thompkins in all leagues tonight in favor of James jones and michael Floyd.

After much consideration, while I believe that the lack of offensive weapons for the oats tonight should normally bode well for thompkins, as the pats greatest big play threat he is going to have cromartie draped all over him tonight. And I don't think thompkins is anywhere near capable of winning that matchup at this stage of his career. He looked like a lost puppy out there last week.

He could just as easily explode and live up to expectations tonight, going back to the guy that wowed everyone in their 3rd preseason game and looking more like a seasoned veteran...

But if that happens it will happen on my bench and I'm ok with it.

I'm with you. After I first heard about Amendola and Vereen I was thinking Thompkins would absolutely blow up this week. Then after thinking about it, he's the guy that Cromartie will be on. I think Thompkins is going to have a great season and I think he will be the Pats best WR that's not a slot guy and be startable every week soon, but he choked a little Week 1, which is understandable. Now it's week 2 and I'd normally expect a bounce back game, but he's going to have one of the best corners in the league on him. Logic says that he has to get tons of targets this week, but I think BB is too smart for this and his gameplan is completely changed.

 
Benched for 3 of VJax, Steve Smiff, Miles Austin and Duane Bowe. Gotta see something before he sniffs a starter role.

PS this is probably the week he does it. I just can't risk it.

I dont know if its a sure thing but Edelman will be moved around and will play inside. Thompkins will play exclusively outside and that is typically cromartie territory.

I want to be clear, I believe that Thompkins COULD have a great game...I mean, who the hell else is Brady gonna throw to. If my choices were b/w he and streater i'm going thompkins no brainer.

I also still think thompkins has a chance to be a great player in a great offense this year.

But as for starting him in week 2, I can only go off of what I saw in week 1. There were positives, like the amount of targets...but thats about it.

The negatives outweighed that. If he wasn;t almost surely facing cro tonight i'd most likely roll with him for a second go around, but going off last weeks production and cromartie i'm looking elsewhere for week 2.

If I'm wrong, and I've been known to be wrong...then I'll just have to live with that decision and hope that the players I replace him with also have good games.

sounds Silly But Deciding Between KT, Bowe, Hilton, Maybe I Feel Obligated To Start Him Because The Injury To Amendola ANd His targets, idk

 
Can't decide if I want to play him over Garcon or Nicks, I want to get Thompkins in there with all the injuries to this team, but just do not know.

I also think that if he does it, it has to be this week.

All I keep saying to myself is Thompkins is the starting X WR for Brady against a team Bill will want to crush and that has a bad secondary in my opinion.

UGHHHHHHH! Again, while I do not think over targets will matter for him tonight, I think he finds paydirt as Brady will try to show that he can score points on a Thursday night.

 
Vegas props for Thompkins has his o/u at 5.5 for receptions and 75.5 for receiving yards

I want to get him in my lineup, but the only guy I can realistically bench for him is Miles Austin, who had 10 catches last week. I think I'm going with the "let's not take Fantasy Football too seriously" and just throw Thompkins in.

 
I desperately want him to succeed...but I just can't put a scares rookie into my lineup until he proves he deserves to be there this week. If he plays well he will come off the bench for week 3.

Too risky for my liking. If he would have played really well last week is keep him in tonight without reservation. All we have to go off of though is last week. That's his regular season sample size. Very different than preseason.

I know that but Dobson is back and the weather isn't good. I seriously doubt he is seeing 14 targets again and all the Jets have is gimpy Santonio Holmes with Kerley out.

 
First 3 weeks are divisional match-ups in my league. This week is too important to outsmart myself. If this was a game against someone outside my division then I might consider it but...not tonight ..

I can see NE grinding out a bunch of rushes in the second half and the Jets passing a lot trying to play catch up.

 
If anyone else showed much last week, I would be benching Thompkins. With the Roddy injury, I already have to plug in Shorts or Matthews which does not thrill me. Mathews was not used much despite the TD and had similar yardage to Ronnie Brown.

Case for Thompkins looks weaker today facing a better secondary with Dobson and Boyce competing with him. Amendola and Vereen competed for targets but those two compete for snaps.

Still, Brady and the coaches had to see something in him to give so many plays and targets week 1 in a close match. I am going to hope that week 1 is the exception and roll the dice again tonight. The rest of the WR corps is only going to get healthier. If there is one team I trust to coach up some rookie mistakes, it is the ####### Pats.

Hopefully they shift cromartie over to Dobson and that frees up thompkins.

I feared Dobson doing well in the absence of thompkins doing well BC Dobson can easily overtake thompkins in the starting lineup with a great performance. The starters are not etched in stone for the pats. They are all unproven. But Dobson is the higher draft pick. The oats want him to succeed and overtake thompkins. He has more of the pedigree.

KT has 15 targets for 4 catches and 42 yards and 0 scores

When I type from a cellphone I careless, get over it, how sad is it you care about grammar instead of talking football.
