I'm starting Tyler Thigpen over _________ this week. (1 Viewer)

Can't believe I'm saying this but considering starting him over Romo and Garcia. Thigpen should keep up his 21+ pt production over the past 3 games, while Romo may need time to get back in the groove. Who else is sitting their top QB for Pigpen?

over Big Ben, Schaub, and Pennington (last week's injury fill-in)

I wouldn't start him over Eli, though. Ravens are pretty weak vs. the pass -- Reed is hurt, their other starting Safety just went on IR, as did McAlister

I have to pick 2 from Thigpen, Romo, Rodgers and am leaning heavily toward starting Thigpen and Rodgers. First game back, tough team in the skins compared to the juicy matchup with the Saints has me pretty sure i'm going that way.

Benching Delhomme for Thigpen. Delhomme cost me a game that I needed to win last week, so he needs to sit and think about things.

eta: Definitely starting Thigpen

I so want to start this guy -- just to say that I did. Picked him up when Schaub got hurt as a backup to Warner. Can't bench Warner against Seattle, but this guy will sure provide great insurance for the stretch run if he keeps it up. He has a decent schedule, too.

I love it. He plays for Kansas City people - a totally unpredictable team.

I see a lot of people this weekend saying to themselves "I knew he couldn't be trusted" after he puts up 130 yards, 1 td and 2 picks.

This is the exact reason why I dont' think I can bring myself to start him over Favre this week. My gut tells me that the Jets will have to throw the ball to beat NE this week. Thigpen has had a stretch of good games but I don't think I want to count on him to throw 2-3 TD's.

Landry hasn't played since week 3 and McAlister has been inactive the last 3 games. The Ravens pass D has lost a step with these guys missing, but they are still ranked 9th against the pass.

Alot of Delhomme owners were probably saying the same thing Sunday night...

Favre hasn't exactly been a reliable fantasy QB himself since their bye. Actually he's been pretty bad, with only 4 TDs in the last 5 games against 8 interceptions. That's why I felt the need to grab Thigpen in the first place.

Well, I went in a huge bidding war to get Sage last week. The other owner dropped out and picked up Thigpen. Sage was a POS last week, and now I get to play AGAINST Thigpen this week. Not happy, though I have Gonzalez. I expect a huge week after watching the SD game. If weather is not a factor (haven't looked), I expect this to be the over lock of the year. They can't make the over/under line high enough for this game. 45-38 Chiefs. Thigpen is a great play.

Same boat. I recently traded for Favre in a dynasty as I had Palmer and Orton out and was down to Thigpen. I won last week despite starting Favre over Thigpen, and even this week I just can't bring myself to bench Favre for Thigpen (although logic would dictate is probably the right move). I do think Favre can put up numbers this week against a depleted Pats secondary though.

I agree 100%. My gut says Favre, the matchup says Thigpen. I'm leaning towards going with my gut

How did Favre do vs St Louis? Or any other team since the 6 TD game?I have Favre too, but facts or facts...Favre is unreliable and the matchup does not make up for the inconsistency.I'm starting Thigpen over Favre with confidence!

Not against the Saints defense he wont. They have been terrible aganst the pass and that was before Mike McKenzie was lost to injury.

Is the weather concerning you at all? The rain has me on the verge of switching and going with Thigpen now.
