Last weeks waivers did not run, each team is allowed 3 waivers per week and waiver order is reset each week based upon standings. All teams put in waivers, they did not run. Commish tried to fix it, made it worse, so reversed all transactions for the previous week and if any team could not field a full roster due to injury he would make manual add/drops but ONLY to ensure full lineups could be fielded.
This weeks waivers were supposed to run Wednesday night/Thursday morning. However, commish set them to run tonight with the caveat that you had to enter the waivers you had in for last week for tonights run - and then tomorrow night the normal waiver wire for this week will process.
My opinion is that the guys I wanted last week were due to situations last week (injury). The guys I want this week are due to the onset of bye week fillers. So how will guys from last week that I was picking up for LAST week help me this week - especially since they are on BYE this week - or maybe an injury last week necessitated a different pick up this week?
Seems crazy to me to not get the benefit of the waiver when you needed it and now be saddled with the waiver when the player is no longer needed - and worse yet guys you could get this week will be gone now that they have blown up.
On the other hand, if the other owners were smart enough to pick a guy up for this week with last weeks waivers then they would be punished. So I can see both sides of the argument.
No win situation.
Any ideas?
