Very interesting.Redraft. Once in 25 years. Zero in last 10.
12 team, half ppr. 5 teams make playoffs. 3 division winners, 2 WC. yes divisions can be viewed as silly, but this is a long standing league with lots of wackiness.Very interesting.Redraft. Once in 25 years. Zero in last 10.
I would also ask, how many teams make the playoffs out of how many? Which would probably be helpful to know for all submissions in this thread. And obviously I'm sure "pick 12" is intended to mean the last pick of the first round.
That's actually super insane that they're only 1/25.12 team, half ppr. 5 teams make playoffs. 3 division winners, 2 WC.Very interesting.Redraft. Once in 25 years. Zero in last 10.

Find this hard to believe. You went back 25 years of drafts, back to 1998, and found out who the 12th pick was each of those 25 years, and they only MADE the playoffs ONCE? Cmon now.Redraft. Once in 25 years. Zero in last 10.

and every other year the last pick in the draft couldn't even get into the top half of the standings???Find this hard to believe. It's been discussed throughout the years. Dude went WR/WR and everyone laughed at him for not taking a RB.
League started in 1996. We've been on the same platform since they became a thing. I have data that goes back to 2001. I just double-checked, and it was 2002. So 22 years.
YOU FOUND ME OUT! SHAME!!!
Only 2 people have responded lol. This is why Auction or 3RR is a must. Heck, I'd set up my league as 3RR and 4RR if I could (as in the 12th slot gets the first pick in rds 2-4, and then snaking begins).
Ope. No, My bad, truly. That was the one SB winner. I can check on playoffs (should be easy, because i get that crappy spot all the time).and every other year the last pick in the draft couldn't even get into the top half of the standings???Find this hard to believe. Seems similar to my league, which started in 1996 but I only have the data from 2004 to present.Find this hard to believe. Pick 12 doesn't seem to be that bad at all from the responses. In fact, it seems on average to be one of the better spots.
I have data from last season.
Six leagues played in.
Had #12 in two of them and made the playoffs.
Both teams won the league.
Had #1 in two of them.
Both teams made the playoffs.
One of them won the league.
Had #5 and #6 in the other two leagues.
Both teams made the playoffs.
One of them won the league.
All leagues top four made playoffs.
So my data from last season shows the #12 pick at 100%.
And the #1 pick at 100%.
All leagues were redraft.I have data from last season.

That’s a good success rate. Regarding where you had the 12 pick - are these redraft ( no keepers) or 3RR or other rules to level field? If not, good job!
slightly below average making playoffs, above average winning the title.I have data for 14 years and it's at 6/14 years they made playoffs. 2 times have won the championship.
way above average, made playoffs every seasonI'm not going back that far, but the 12th spot has made the playoffs each of the past 2 seasons, winning once.
way above average... made playoffs every single season.# of playoff appreances by 1st round draft position in this league since 2004
1.01– 8
1.02– 8
1.03– 8
1.04– 8
1.05- 8
1.06– 11
1.07– 12
1.08- 6
1.09– 6
1.10– 5
1.11– 10
1.12- 10
way above average, made playoffs every single season. So my data from last season shows the #12 pick at 100%.
This is every response in here so far (jb's was how many times they won the title, not made the playoffs.)Definitely not seeing that it’s one of the better spots.
What aren't you seeing?
So outside of your own league, it's 10/18.What aren't you seeing?
My count is different cause one guy was a keeper league and the other guys said data was flawed. I see:
1/10
6/14
2/2
2/2
Depending on how you sum that the outcome can vary.
We draw slots to choose draft spots. I am taking the 12.
So outside of your own league, it's 10/18.
lol if you think it's such a bad draft spot, why did you pick it?So outside of your own league, it's 10/18.
If you know stats, it makes the most sense to remove the 2/2 due to sample size

I love being 1.10, 1.11 or 1.12
Although this year I'm most comfortable with the middle
