The franchise is the worst in the league and its owner is consistently the worst.
There are no quick turn-arounds. The only reason this team still can hire a staff and run an operation are that it claims its location is in New York and it is also technically an NFL franchise.
Its owner is the worst in the NFL when considered in every context. This was his response to a player workplace survey by the NFLPA. It is a stunning response. He actually can’t stand his players being able to collectively voice their opinions publicly. Listen to what he says and then think about it.
PALM BEACH, Fla. -- New York Jets chairman Woody Johnson, the only owner to receive an F grade in the NFL Players Association annual team report card, dismissed the findings Monday, calling the survey "totally bogus."
Johnson said he values his relationships with the players and their opinions, but he questioned the integrity of the poll. Asked what was bogus about it, he replied, "The whole thing."
In the latest survey, 1,695 players graded their respective teams in various categories. The results were released Feb. 26. The NFLPA was critical of the Jets' top leadership and culture.
Johnson, speaking to reporters at the annual league meeting, took issue with "how they collected the information [and] who they collected it from. [It] was supposed to be according to the agreement we have with the league. It's supposed to be a process [where] we have representatives, and they have representatives, so we know that it's an honest survey.
"And that was violated, in my opinion. I'm going to leave it at that, but I think there are a lot of owners that looked at that survey and said this is not fair, it's not balanced, it's not every player, it's not even representative of the players." - Rich Cimini, ESPN 3/31/25

When Woody was the ambassador to the UK under Trump from 2017-2021 his employees hated him enough to have an investigation launched:
The inspector-general's office said it found that Johnson's 'demanding and hard-driving' management style had a negative impact on morale in some sections of the embassy.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Ambassador to Britain Woody Johnson has made insensitive and inappropriate comments during his tenure, including about race, religion and sex, the State Department's inspector general has found, judging that morale in some parts of the mission has dropped.
In a report published on Wednesday, the inspector general's office said it asked the relevant State Department bureau to conduct further review based on its findings and take action, a recommendation the agency disagreed with.
"Offensive or derogatory comments, based on an individual's race, color, sex, or religion, can create an offensive working environment and could potentially rise to a violation of EEO (Equal Employment Opportunity) laws," it said.
A billionaire with no prior diplomacy experience, Johnson was appointed to the coveted post of ambassador to Britain, one of Washington's closest international partners, in August 2017. He is co-owner of U.S. football team the New York Jets.
The report also gave examples of how Johnson's conduct "did not always model the principles of the Department."
"For example, some embassy staff told OIG that when the Ambassador was frustrated with what he interpreted to be excessive staff caution or resistance to suggestions about which he felt strongly, he sometimes questioned their intentions or implied that he might have them replaced," the report said. "This caused staff to grow wary of providing him with their best judgment."
The State Department's Bureau of European and Eurasian affairs said it did not believe a formal assessment was required, and that instead all staff, including the chief of mission, should undertake training to "heighten awareness on these important issues," according to the report. -Reuters 8/12/2020"
In an ABC News Report on the Woody Johnson issue, Johnson replied.
Johnson himself took issue with the report's finding about "insensitive" remarks, writing in a May 27 letter to the OIG, "If I have unintentionally offended anyone in the execution of my duties, I deeply regret that, but I do not accept that I have treated employees with disrespect or discriminated in any [way]
"I believe that team cohesion in our mission is better than ever," he added, noting the "absence of any official complaints against me" by staffers.” - ABC News, Conor Finnegan 8/12/2020
