Infinite New York football Giants (2025 same as it ever was) (2 Viewers)

I do not want to see them turn to Tommy or Drew. Unless they help us lose. We need to finally finish at the top for the NFL Draft. I don’t want the 5th, 6th, or the 7th pick. The turnaround will be so quick if we land Cam or Shadeur.

If jones suffers a serious injury it can cost like $20M against the cap next year
Also I would like to see if some of these offensive weapons (i.e. Hyatt) actually suck or is it because of Jones

I really do NOT want Sanders.

And I "watched" the 4pm games as I did other things around the house. There were reminders that things could be worse. The combo of Rush/Lance had eye popping numbers. 17 for 29 for a world beating 49yards. Ouch. The wheels have fallen off Mr Rodgers as well.

The NFL Football Gods? Phhhhft. They've not shown love for this franchise for over a decade. Whatever.

Sanders will probably be considered. Most places have him listed as one of the top QB available in this draft.
Sanders, Ward, Ewers and Milroe are the 4 I see mentioned the most. I'm sure there are a couple others.
Of course the so called experts say this is a bad QB draft.

I really just don't want anything to do with Neon Deion. Cause you KNOW he will follow his son. Officially or unofficially.

I don't really follow college football all that much. Granted, more so once my eldest and her cousins went to D1 schools (a range between FBS and FCS schools , including those cheaters from UM). Everything I've seen from Neon Deion's reign at Colorado underscores everything that I think is broken in college football. Would rather have the Giants avoid that entire sideshow.

I fear the Giants are "peaking" in the draft a year too early.

Rooting for losses, you should have your fan card revoked.

The Football Gods will not look favorably on your organization.
Just wondering are they looking favorably on the franchise now?

Yes, your organization has won 4 Super Bowls. There are some organizations who have never even played in a Super Bowl.
And appeared in 15 Championship games in the pre Super Bowl era
Only winning 4 of those

On a brighter note
In regards to next years draft
I just heard a classic t.v. show theme song on the radio
"We're movin' on up!...movin' on up.."

Will have A LOT more on Joe Schoen's presser in a story for @TheAthleticNFL that will likely run tomorrow morning.

But a few quick takeaways:
• Schoen had no hesitation when asked if he expects to be back for a fourth season. When asked if he has been told he'll be back, he said he talks to ownership constantly and relayed that they have confidence in the plan.

• There was virtually no support of Daniel Jones, which would have been nearly impossible to do. I can't see any way he remains the starter after the bye.

• Schoen tried to sell hard the youth of the roster and that they're close based on the amount of close losses.

• Schoen said he believes the roster is good enough. That led to an obvious follow up if the problem is coaching. He spoke in generalities about the team's struggles, but that initial answer wouldn't make me feel great if I was Daboll.

I think this QB group might be better than people think ...Sanders worries me because of Deion, who I can't stand.
None are real tall all 6'2" but all have pretty good size
  • Ward - Best QB + arm talent - Ok runner
  • Sanders - Good QB - Good Athlete but suprisingly bad Rushing stats - and comes with Deion
  • Milrose - OK QB - Elite Athlete / runner - Biggest Risk/Reward
I think I like Milrose the best ...Sanders the least

And who they even have to choose from will be determined by their draft slot
As bad as they are there are a couple "winnable" games the rest of the way
Right now ESPN analytics gives them the best chance at landing the #1 pick at just under 17%

Some of the head to head matchups remaining of the currently 2-3 win teams.

Jacksonville vs Tennessee 2x
Jacksonville vs Raiders
Jacksonville vs Jets
Giants vs Cowboys
Carolina vs Cowboys

Jones officially benched.

This probably hurts the draft pick but saves them from having to pay him if he gets hurt.

Adam Schaffer: Sources: The New York Giants are expected to replace Daniel Jones with Tommy DeVito as their new starting quarterback.

*****

One has to wonder why Schoen spent $5mm on Drew Lock.
Can Tommy Cutlets screw another tank job with some meaningless wins?

Stay safe Tommy
Your job is to hold onto a high draft pick
Daniel and Drew will both be gone next season
You will still have a place on the team

Schoen and Daboll are a hot mess !
  • 1st rd Picks sitting for practice squad players
  • Offensive Cordinator being paid to sit in the corner
  • Backup QB being paid $5m to sit behind a practice squad QB
These guys have done such a bad job

It starts at the top
Ask the Cowboys
Mara needs to grow a pair
And hire competent football people

Ugh. Tommy Cutlets, or as I like to call him "Danny DeVito", won't get the message. I am sure he is going screw this up.

I guess I won't be watching any more Giants games this year. I can't stand that kid, his agent or any of it.

You know, I'm starting to think we should have paid Barkley and not Jones.

I would hope the Giants feel the same way, hard to tell though.

I'm starting to think we should have paid someone other than Joe Schoen for G.M.

I'd be happy if the Giants activated some Juco red-shirt to see this season out. Just save all of us the hassle and call it for what it is. No sense for mistaken false hope now. Rip the bandaid off and get it done. "Wins" now will only prolong the pain.

If this costs Daboll his job? Well. Bye.

Sources: There is “disappointment” among some #Giants players regarding how the Daniel Jones situation was handled over the past week, especially with players aware it was primarily a financial decision by the organization.

Dexter Lawrence publicly stated on Tuesday: “He’s the QB1. To me, he’s the best quarterback on the team."

”One offensive player told me over the phone: “We’re not idiots. They did it because of money. So be it. But Daniel has been all class, never complained, and is now being completely disregarded. The TEAM record is bad. You can point fingers everywhere. To try to blame him is trash, and making him third string is weak as fu**.”

The sense I’ve gotten from multiple sources — players, coaches, and executives — is that the issues within the organization go far beyond just one person.

******
I'm guessing the offensive player is Slayton, been good friends since their draft year.

So it looks like the attitude in the locker room is pretty crappy
So maybe those one or two "winnable" games on the schedule aren't any more
So I smell a number one pick
That the inept front office will somehow screw up
So I see my attitude is in line with the locker room...crappy

betting against them for the rest of the yr. Starting Devito over Jones and Lock is simply to sell tickets and not win games. The kid is fun, but holds onto the ball way too long

Giant games are sold out for many years
There are no tickets to sell
But it is a money move
A Jones injury would cost the team

You still make money on parking and concessions.
Right
And every game is sold out
So
That means there are fans buying concessions and paying for parking

Just because a ticket is sold doesn't mean the person goes to the game.
