Inge beats out Kinsler? (1 Viewer)

Kinsler .827 OPS

Inge .860 OPS

Same HRs, same RBIs, Inge plays a tougher position. Thanks for being surprised, there had to be that one guy.

DD didn't mention the SB difference, but will let that slide.

I want Kinsler to have the time off, he needs it.

Kinsler deserved to be an All-Star, but so did Inge. Why anyone is surprised is surprising, Chone Figgins deserved to go also. They could have pulled Granderson and put Kinsler in there, I'd have no trouble with that.

I might be just a bit of a Ranger homer, and that said, I don't think Kinsler was an All-Star this year. Take away the hot start and his numbers suxor.

DD you can check the Tigers thread, I called Inge your MVP little over a month ago.I didn't say I was surprised, I said I didn't see it coming. All the talking heads seemed to think it was a no brainer that Kinsler would be added to the AST........as usual, they were wrong

Inge > Kinsler, but Francona screwed Kinsler by taking Pedroia.
Both, :goodposting: 's.Grandy's been good, but All Star good? No, but he's been miles better than Pedroia. Inge and Kinsler both deserve to go but if I had to vote it'd be BInge, it's not the homer in me, I think defensively he's the best 3B in the game right now. His new found productivity offensively makes him a no brainer All Star imho.

And considering it's a popularity contest, I'll side with Wrigley a be shocked that Kinsler wasn't selected over some nobody Tiger

Tigers fans made every effort to stuff the ballot box

Eh - Kinsler will have plenty of opportunities to be an All-Star. This is pretty clearly Inge's career year. Give him a little sunshine.

You might be the last person on the internet who cites fielding percentage statistics to describe a defender. Not to mention 2B is a long way from 3B in terms of difficulty of position.UZR/150 RatingInge - 13.8Kinsler - 6.4

Fair enough. I will be the first to tell Inge congrats for his next Gold Glove.

Sorry, I think Greco has that honor already reserved. And, in fairness, though Inge is a much better defender than Kinsler, Ian actually ranks higher within his position this year, second only to Polanco. So Kinsler may actually be closer to the Gold Glove.
