Interesting news. I wonder if they plan on using him at SLB. I seem to remember last year speculation that Clint might be moved inside so the faster Smith and Peterson could be outside, (blitzing) but now it sounds like Smith will go into the middle, Peterson at WLB, and Ingram at SLB.

Ingram was the LOLB last year after Peterson was injured and, to my knowledge, that's always been the plan for 2007 too, although Smith played there last year after Ayodele moved on to Dallas. Most of the discussion around Peterson moving outside was to get Smith in the middlel, although I may have missed something mentioning Ingram. I'm anxiously awaiting word on how that's going to turn out in mini-camps. The head writer at jaguars.com, Vic Carucci, has hinted that Smith would stay inside this year but there hasn't been anything official yet.

I am glad you said LOLB as I thought Jacksonville was one of the teams that doesn't flip the LBs. While not a huge bump, it does place him a little above pure SLB.
