injuries that impact IDP's (1 Viewer)

I thought I'd see if I could throw out some key injuries around the league that might pimp up stats for some particular IDP -- if anybody wants to add....

I'll just edit stuff into this post as time goes by.

most italics from yahoo team notes, or some places like rotoworld.

LB

OLT (HOU) duane brown is serving the 4th game of his 4 game suspension, creating a better match up for tamba hali.

hali got to manning quite a bit last week, and brown's replacement, butler, gave up 3 sacks to ware, and 2 more to osi.

briggs might be out this week, with brian iwuh getting the start.

jamar williams filled in for him against st louis last year and logged 13-5 tackles with 2 pd, if that means anything.

Right tackle Mark Tauscher (GB)(shoulder) is expected to miss a second straight game, which would mean another start for rookie Bryan Bulaga.

I can't say if he was responsible, but it looks like bulaga's side gave up 3 sacks against washington last week.

next up, MIA (3-4)

DE

Eagles coach Andy Reid confirmed Wednesday that starting left tackle Jason Peters would have surgery later this week to repair torn meniscus cartilage in his knee. Reid wouldn't give a timetable on how long Peters might be out, but he said King Dunlap would start at left tackle against the Falcons.

Dunlap replaced Peters in the first quarter of last week's 27-24 win over the 49ers and gave up three sacks.

The 6-foot-9, 330-pound Dunlap was a seventh-round pick in the 2008 draft. He spent his rookie year on injured reserve and appeared in 12 games last year, mainly on special teams.

I believe john abraham logged 2 sacks, 2 hits, and 3 pressures last week vs the browns.

DT

Vikings C Jon Cooper, who could be making his first career start, vs. Dallas NT Jay Ratliff, who had six sacks last season. This could be a matchup nightmare for the Vikings if John Sullivan remains out because of a calf injury. Ratliff had six sacks last season, and in the Cowboys' 3-4 defensive scheme, he will be nose up on Cooper. Cooper replaced Ryan Cook in the second half of Monday night's game against the Jets after Cook had some issues in what was his first career start at center.

CB

RCB Tracy Porter (NO) will be out again Sunday and likely will miss one or two more games after having surgery last week to repair the lateral meniscus in his left knee

first round rookie, pat robinson, replaced him against ARI, logging 8 tackles and 1 pd. (ARI QB 18 of 29)

next up, tampa.

4th round rookie LCB verner (TEN) continues to fill in for mccourty.

he logged 11 tackles and 3 pd against a denver team that threw 50x, then followed up with 7-2 and a pick against a dallas team that threw 46x.

next up, JAX --- garrard threw 27 and 37 balls against TEN last year.

RCB griffin's out for MIN, and his replacement, cook, might be, too.

starter vs DAL is.....?
