Injury updates from Steve Cohen (1 Viewer)

Steve Cohen from footballinjuries.com spends about 15 minutes every Sunday morning on WFAN with Mike Francesa. Here was what they had to say:

KC/Pitt -

Joey Porter out with a foot injury.

Larry Johnson - returned to practice and was able to fully practice on Thursday and Friday and will play.

Lions -

Roy Williams - returned to practice late this week and will play.

Lions Offensive Line and Defense are a mess, missing 6 starters. 3 starting offensive linemen are out and 3 defensive starters including their starting safety Kenoy Kennedy is out.

Seahawks/Rams -

Seahawks O-Line is still a mess, but he said they are getting a little healthier.

B. Engram - Out. Won't know until later this week when they can expect to have him back.

They get Jarramy Stephens back but are not sure if he will be 100% yet this week.

Deion Branch will make his first start.

Rams secondary is a mess. 1 starting cornerback is OUT and the other one is struggling with a groin injury.

Panthers -

Dan Morgan out for the season

Deangelo Williams out at least 2-3 weeks

Bengals/Bucs -

Bengals are without their starting center which is a big reason they couldn't protect Palmer so this week they will be doing some shuffling of the o-line and are moving "the kid" to guard and a veteran to Center to try to protect Palmer better, sorry didn't get all the names on this one.

Bengals starting safety Dexter Jackson is out.

For the Bucs, Chris Simms will start doing some light work in a few weeks and they hope to have him back before the season is over.

Falcons -

John Abraham should be back but will likely be limited because they are not sure how much he'll be able to play.

MLB Ed Hartwell is still having knee problems and may be held out 1 more week.

Eagles - They were just about to touch on the Eagles injuries when Francesca got off on a tangent about how poorly Bledsoe played against the Eagles last week and before I knew it, they were in a 5 minute rant about how crappy Bledsoe and Favre are and how they are both finished. Then they moved onto the next game without touching on any of the Eagles injuries. :wall:

Oakland -

Jerry Porter got himself suspended for #####ing about how unorganized practice was and questioning how long they were going to practice.

Arizona -

Larry Fitzgerald - Original diagnois was 2 to 5 weeks but they said he has never had a hamstring injury before and he is working hard and when they talked to him he said "Don't rule me out for next week."

I'm not sure who hates Francesa more - me or Phil Mushnick. (that's for NY Post readers)

FWIW, ESPN just reported that Westbrook will start and Stallworth is OUT

For the bengals,

Eric Steinbach moves to center, Whitworth moves to guard. This is a definite upgrade to the Oline. Rashaad Geanty SSLB is doubtful and Dexter Jackson was lister as doubtful, but it doesnt look like either will play. The bengals D is suffering without these two.

I heard Cohen's colleague Adam Caplan on Westwood one pregame here in KC. The only thing to add here is that Dante Hall is ready to go for returning kicks, for thsoe of you that were looking to play KC DEF/ST.
