Quarterback Aaron Brooks was back in uniform and at practice Wednesday for the first time since straining a pectoral muscle near his throwing shoulder in the Sept. 17 loss to the Ravens in Baltimore.
"It was good to get back into the swing of things, get out here, do a little here and do a little there," said coach Art Shell, who reaffirmed that Andrew Walter would be the starting quarterback in Monday night's game in Seattle.
Brooks, who began the year as the starter, has been throwing on the sidelines all along.
"It's more competitive now, rather than throwing just to a receiver," Shell said. "He's competing against a defense and that kind of thing."
Shell said Walter took Brooks' return in stride: "I think as far as Andrew is concerned, he is more concerned with getting ready for the game on Monday night."
