I made the same decision.Playing Turner over Ingram, can't do much worse....
Well put. But softer defense = more first downs and more offensive plays = more production and more opportunities for more touches. Versus Balt, Pitt and Philly last year Turner got 15-19 or so touches because he was shut down. Never broke 55 yards as I recall. So I'd rather play some good, but lesser players (e.g., Jacobs) if the defense is clearly softer.Let the season play out a little before you start benching your studs. You'll drive yourself nuts every week. Just hope the rest of your roster makes up the difference.I saw a lot of my leagues bench turner for ingram and ingram ended up with 13 for 40 and no TDs. I thought about starting Jacobs b/c of the matchup but no way Jacobs gets as many touches as Turner. Touches = opportunities. That much is guaranteed. Everything else is arguable but it in the end pure speculation.
This is one of the better OL's they've had in a while. Bruggeman will fill in just fine for McClure.Offensive LineHe's not a strong play and the starting Center is OUT for Atlanta.
I'm tempted to agree and act on that with Jacobs but I gotta give it at least one week, trust my starting lineup and hope the addition and accounting of Julio Jones frees up the running lanes enough for Turner. Im hopeing for 60 a TD and the rest of my roster making up the points. It's all arguable but initially I'd like to trust the guys I drafted as starters.'Hugonel said:Well put. Turner is NOT a stud in ppr leagues, and therefore is "benchable." Of course, this all relative, b/c it depends on who you have on the bench.
See previous comment!A bounce back year from 1371 and 12 TDs?Guys before you bench him think about this scenario. If the Falcons do wantbto air it out more with their great stable of wr's and have sone early success CHI won't be stacking the box. I see Burner having more room this year as defenses will be forced to respect the passing game as a whole. If they get near the goalline it will be burner FTW. As an earlier poster mentioned, he may not tear up the yardage this week but I would not be surprised if he ends up with a td or 2! I see Burner having a bounce back year this year similar to what Jamal Lewis was able to do with the Browns once they had a passing game. Nobody has a better nose for the end zone than Turner.
I'm not up on the Falcons D....can you share specifics on how the defense has improved?Plus the falcons D is vastly improved and should be starting from much better field position.
