Is anyone taking a chance with Sanchez this week? (1 Viewer)

I know that the Ravens are a tough defense, but Sanchez has been putting up solid numbers all season. I doubt that they will have any success in the running game, so it should force Sanchez to continue to pass. Plus, if they do get into the redzone, Sanchez has been running the ball quite a bit in goal line situations, so you may steal a touchdown from a running back as well.

Personally, I am going with him over Tony Romo if Dez Bryant is unable to play. Anyone else willing to take the chance? If so, who are you starting him over?

I think I'm going to do the same with Sanchez over Romo. If Dez doesn't play, Romo's options are somewhat limited and there's also the chance that Romo takes a shot that knocks him out of the game.

I can't say that Sanchez vs. the Ravens sounds attractive, but I don't think it's bad. I could easily see the Jets throwing 35+ times against Baltimore, and it wouldn't surprise me if they don't rush for a TD, so

Sanchez is a better fantasy option than he has been in the past just because it appears the Jets D isn't quite as good. However, he won't go off versus the Ravens and I think I'd take my chances with Romo. He's played thru the injury now for 2 weeks, it would take a pretty significant shot to send him out but you can say that about any Qb. If anything, Romo is now aware more than ever he has to get rid of the ball so that he doesn't take the knockout punch. I think Romo has at least 2 td's against Detroit and I don't feel that way about Sanchez.

I think I would agree about Romo if Dez plays, but without Dez, you're looking at Tony Romo with Laurent Robinson, Kevin Ogletree, and Jesse Holley as his three receivers, along with Witten. That's a rough group, regardless of whether Romo was hurt or not.

Same situation here, and right now playing Sanchez over Romo. I think this may come down to whih supporting squad is injured less.

The Ravens are very stout against the run, and while their secondary limits TDs, they do give up yardage. So I can see the balance of attack the Jets will likely lean on to move the chains will be the passing game.

If Mangold and Turner are healthy and playing, I'm a little more omfortable with Sanchez than with a still-banged-up Romo and a decimated receiver corps, especially given how tenacious the Lions have been in both getting to the QB and picking the ball off.

I'm still flip flopping between Sanchez and Freeman... either way it's a losing proposition. I like Freeman's match up but the Bucs passing game has been anemic thus far. I at least expect Sanchez to be throwing 30+ times because we all know Greene isn't getting it done.

My concern with Sanchez isn't really putting up the numbers. I think he'll be good for at least 250 and a touchdown, which would be about 16 points in my league. My concern is that he has one of his 4 interception games.

I'm also in the same bind with Romo and Sanchez ( i also posted last week on this situation--luckily i won my matchup by choosing Sanchez). This week is tougher with the Ravens on board, but I do think Sanchez is on the cusp of becoming a borderline QB1. Obviously, Jets are not going to make it the superbowl with their defense and run game. They have to let Sanchez go out there and make mistakes. He's not a rookie or sophmore. He's expected to lead this team, and the coaches can't keep him on short leash. Romo's upside is just too limited with Cowboys banged up. I'm rolling the dice again despite the tough ravens matchup and going with Sanchez. (Incidentally, on a strange whim I'm also picked up Curtis Painter.. he's not manning but considering the talent in Indy, he could have a Shaun Hill type of performance). Good luck everyone

I'm on the same boat as you. I have Freeman in right now but at least we have until the night game to make a final decision since Freeman plays on MNF.

Same for me in one league. I'm going Sanchez w/out any reservation...honestly! hahahaThe Tampa/Indy game just seems like one of those grind it out affairs for Tampa. I see Blount getting a ton of touches. As noted, NYJ can't run the ball, so for bad or good it'll be on Sanchise. Expecting something like 280/2/1 out of him. Freeman probably won't hit 200 passing yds

This one certainly didn't work out too well. It cost me the week.

Sadly, with Romo on a bye next week, I'll have to go with Sanchez again.

Against New England's poor secondary and non-existent pass rush he should perform better is my guess. While he didn't play well at all last night, it had plenty to do with the o-line play. He has shellacked and then shellshocked.

Thats taking it to the extreme..

Oline just not holding up.. And running game is anemic

He is not to blame

Look how bad steelers look.. No one is calling to fire big ben

Sanchez needs more time .. Too early to pull the plug. patience..

i dont think he will ever be a franchise QB like he was touted too in his rookie year. Yes his OL is bad but franchise QB's elicit leadership and play on the field that lifts their team up. He does not have one single tangible skill that's grades out high either, no canon arm, no great footwork, no reading defenses effectively, rather then a combination of average in most departments imo.
