This game didn't change my opinion of either Ben or Aaron too much. It's not like all of a sudden Ben "can't" win in the clutch. The guy has done it how many times before? There isn't a Packer fan in the world who saw 2:00 left on the clock with the ball in Ben's hands and didn't at least think..."oh, ####". And even though he didn't finish this time, it doesn't change my opinion of him being one of the most clutch players in the league. It also doesn't change my opinion that he isn't the type of guy you're going to have carry your football team for an entire season.
Rodgers is where I thought he was, but it's nice to see the guy deliver. Maybe he didn't win a playoff game before this year, but the guy has played well under pressure before. He was great in last year's playoff loss. His first game as a starter after Brett left may be the most scrutinized first game for a starting QB ever. His games against Favre. The last two regular season games this year...all of them high pressure games and he delivered in all of them. These playoffs just reinforced what many already knew about Aaron.
On the radio on the drive in one of the commentators said "All season long, defenses knew that Aaron Rodgers was going to have to beat them. The playoffs and the Super Bowl were no different. And he delivered all year"
To me, that is the difference between guys like Aaron, Peyton, Tom...versus Ben.
Don't get me wrong, nobody can do it alone. Let's not forget that Rodgers had a great defense all year. But he had NO running game. Teams knew he was going to throw it and he still beat them.
