Is Burress a #1 fantasy WR for the rest of the season? (1 Viewer)

Probably all of the posters saying he won't be a #1 for the rest of the season don't have him on their team and wish they did........guys like Driver, Colston, Evans all went before him.

I'm gonna ride him and Wayne until the wheels fall off. There is no reason to believe his production will decline.

Uh, how about his ankle ?????

I'm not saying he doesn't have a bad ankle, but he is showing no ill effects from it so far in games. It's a well known fact the guy doesn't like to practice....the injury is being overblown IMO. As far as I'm concerned the "injury" is not affecting his production whatsoever......I mean the guy is only tied with Moss as the top WR in the NFL right now through 6 weeks.

Not bad as far as I'm concerned.

ok...since you seem to be able to see into the future please tell who will win the superbowl so i can make a crap load of $$$$$$.Plax is playing off the hook right now WITH a hurt ankle , he`s right up there with R.Moss in td`s...i cant find any reason to believe he cant sustain this level of play.If you dont like plax as a player or he burned you in the past just say so, but dont just put blinders on and keep looking for reasons downplay how good he is RIGHT NOW.

:goodposting: Many things are going in his favor. Next 4 games are vs. SFO, MIA, DAL, DET.Not practicing during the week allows him to rest the ankle. And since his doctors have said that the only way it heals is through rest, this can't be a bad thing.Manning is obviously establishing trust with him, and at the expense of others (ie Shockey, Toomer, and RB's).If anything, I might look to trade him around week 11-12. Their schedule in weks 12-17 is vs. MIN, CHI, PHI, WAS, BUF, NE. He should be about peak value at around week 11-12 if he stays relatively healthy. The only bad thing I can see is he has a bye in week 9.
