Is Chad Johnson a sell high candidate? (1 Viewer)

don't think so...now I think is when he turns it around....he's been a stud for too many years to go out like that....

Vs a tough D he blew up nasty style...this is what 85 owners have been waiting for....

:goodposting: why trade him when he starts to do exactly what you hoped he would do when you drafted him? palmer looked good, TJ might have a nasty concussion (pure speculation on my part, but the hit was a nasty helmet to helmet). hold on to 85 and enjoy the ride

I wouldn't call SD a tough D right now. No Merriman and Cleveland put up 25 last week.

I have Chad in all leagues and am definitely thinking about moving him.

His problem all year has been Palmer. Not saying anything bad about Carson, he just wasn't 100% when the season started.

Of course Merriman is a big loss...but the Charger D is still very good....the Cinci offense has been crap for a lot of the year... but have been a top unit for a few years now. This is exactly the boost they needed....I'm keeping 85 and will take enjoy the ride. 260 yds is convinicing enough for me.

No....now is when you are glad you weathered his mediocre efforts and can reap the rewards of having the best WR in the NFL!!!!
Or your completely ticked off (Like me) because you traded him away two days ago, after wethering his sos year to this point.Mt team was 4-5 and on the verge of getting knocked out of the playoffs. I needed someone that I could count on. So although I thought CJ could have a good week this week, I packaged him up for Steve Smith.Well, no the less, I may have just cost my self a playoff slot.

Don't you dare. Palmer is still getting healthier, and his O-line has yet to come back heathy. Things should get better from here on out. Losing Housh may hurt a little, but I doubt its long-term.

Bengals website said that Housh is thought to have a concussion but they sent him home with asprin and he should be good to go this weekend against NO. Even with the L, I think yesterday gave them a boost in the confidence of the O-line which is exactly what the Bengals needed. CJ will continue to perform as yesterday was more indicitive of the type of player he is.

Not sure, but I think Palmer is finally coming around. I'm gonna hope for the best.

Friday, I almost made the (in hindsight) mistake of trading CJ for Portis.

In fact, I had submitted the trade proposal, and then my gut wrenched and I cancelled it an hour later, thankfully before he accepted.

I read a lot of similar posts in the Mike Vick thread weeks ago. I wish I had traded him high. That being said, I think you must keep CJ. Vick was a middle rounder performing like a top round pick. Trading him for top round leval players would have been a good move. CJ is a top round type pick and you will still not get that type value back for him. If you can get that type of value then it may be a good time to move him. The question is...Who is going to trade a top performer for a should be top performer with only 1 huge week to point to?

Exactly. Unless you are in a league of fools, it's not like everyone is going to be lost on the fact that CJ has been MIA for the entire season until this week. The odds of getting a good return on him are pretty low I would think. The best move is to hold firm and hope this is the week that gets him going.

Glad CJ finally showed up. I think he puts together a good second half. Especially considering the way Palmer is playing, and the fact that the defense can't seem to stop anyone. They also need there A-Game each week to get in the playoff hunt. So, I would say, I wouldn't think of trading CJ at this point.

Thank god, my offer of Chad Johnson for Roy Williams was turned down...

I agree with your post, but I'd trade CJ for Roy in a heart-beat.

Pretty much only the time to buy has passed. I say hold on and hope he can give you some big weeks in your playoffs.
