I think its clear based on all of the reports and facts presented in this thread that he's been taking performance enhancing drugs. I also hear he beats kittens and steals lunch money from middle schoolers.

It’s my prejudice that most NFL players push the limits of nutrition. That said why you'd make a thread specifically about Freddie T. is beyond me.

I can see the logic behind such an assumption.

I mean how else would an older runner form an SEC school keep stealing carries from a younger runner from a PAC-10 school?

Is this an actual issue? I've not heard any whiff of this as a legit story. Am I missing something?

Brett Favre isn't outrunning entire defenses.
No, but I think you'd agree he's having one of his best years ever...at age 38. Just to be clear, I'm not trying to insinuate that he is. Just curious as to why you would single out Taylor without a shred of evidence (none that I know of anyway). Insinuating that he may be without evidence is pretty lame, imo.

Is LHucks on crack...poll comming.

I have always felt that Fred Taylor is the most physically gifted RB in the NFL. Injuries have slowed him down.

If so he's been on them a long time. People seem to have forgotten that Fred Taylor is good. No one remember his 9 straight games with over 100 yards? It's actually a pretty averge season for Taylor when you consider is decreased workload.

No it's not...I can't recall ever seeing a RB with Fred's age have such a rejuvenation in his career given all the injuries he's sustained. And as ESPN stated this question is now going to be asked about every pro athlete that finds success after the age of 30. It's a very relevant question in today's world. It's quite remarkable or he's cheating...and that's what this thread is asking.

If a gun was held to my head I would go Chuck Norris on the guy and kill him in 2.03 seconds. But I would guess that he probably does use HGH, as does most players.

All of the injuries? He's missed 8 games since 2002 (six seasons).http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/TaylFr00.htm

ETA - He's basically duplicating last season, but nobody noticed because the Jags faltered down the stretch.

2006 231/1146/5 - 5.0 ypc

2007 191/944/3 - 4.9 ypc

I don't recall you starting a simlar thread about Curtis Martin 3 years ago. Maybe I missed it.

Curtis' career was much more consistent and he didn't appear to have the sheer speed that Fred is displaying.Seriously, I don't have a grudge against the guy, as a matter of fact I'm a huge Fred Taylor fan...I love his attitude, a true warrior who hasn't been given enough credit over the years.

as ridiculous as this topic is, i can't help but think about how we all blindly were amazed at Barry Bonds' feats when he was crushing the homerun record. All of our opinions have changed since that year, don't you think?

So, because Martin was a slow RB that fell into the third round, it must meant hat Taylor a first rounder who had some injuries YEARS ago is on HGH... sure, you betcha. You should be banned!!!!!

somewhat true, but only because CurMar was never injured. If you look at the per game totals, Taylor is pretty consistent. His y/a has almost always been in the upper 4's, while Martin has fluctuated more.

If somebody put a gun to your head what would be your answer?
He's an SEC Guy. They're all that fast and strong.Ok real answer - Don't start doing this with players. Seriously, don't start making accusations like this unless you've got something to back it up with. That's a very serious accusation to start making (and yes, that's the net effect of "asking"). Don't do it.J
