Is Gaffney a must start against KC? (1 Viewer)

Last year in week 17, Gaffney had 14 catches for 213 yards. Do you think that was a fluke or was Denver exploiting a KC weakness? Does anybody know who was mostly responsible for covering Gaffney last year? KC seems much more stingy against the pass this year.

e.t.a. Of course, I don't expect over 200 yards. Just wondering if this is another good match-up for him or if it is going to be a great match-up for Lloyd, instead.

If I had to guess week #17 was a meaningless game for KC last year. Not to mention the are a completely different team this year and leading there division.

Gaffney could have a good game against KC but comparing to last year is not going to get you the results you are looking for.

I constantly hear "dont chase last week's points". Im thinking chasing last year's points is probably not a great idea.

You have to remember that the Broncos were losing by a lot for most of that game, thanks to the defense being terrible and Orton throwing several pick-6s, so they were in catch-up mode for most of the game. Plus, Royal was being ignored, and Lloyd wasn't around, so there wasn't as much competition for the ball. So, while Gaffney could have a nice game, I don't see him putting up 10+ catches and 200+ yards again.

He's probably not a must start, but he's starting for me.

I think he's a solid play in a PPR league, I can see 5-70 as a WR3. I think Lloyd going to garner more attention, opening it up a bit more for Gaffney.

He got approximately 359 targets in that game. Marshall was out and Orton ignored basically everyone else. Might be part of the reason why he tossed not one but two pick-6s.

Lloyd's the WR1 now and Orton should spread it around more.
