Just surprised with all the injury concerns I hear about, and how 18 games will be too much on an NFL players body, that coaches have their starters in late in the 4th qtr of games.
Is it hypocritical?
If a coach or player is really concerned about the players exposure to the amount of time they are on the field, why wouldn't more players be resting when the game is out of hand?
I was shocked to watch NFL.com playtracker and I am seeing
Texans down 34-10 under 5:00
(4:07) 8-M.Schaub pass short middle to 80-A.Johnson to HST 38 for 6 yards (59-M.Boley).
Rams down 44-6 under 5:00
(4:31) (No Huddle, Shotgun) 8-S.Bradford pass incomplete short middle to 16-D.Amendola.
(4:55) (Shotgun) 39-S.Jackson left tackle to DET 32 for 9 yards (55-L.Johnson).
