Is it time to move MJD? (1 Viewer)

MJD has not really had a great season to date.

In his defense, he has not had enough carries or touches in a game to merit outstanding stats, but it does not appear that will change anytime soon.

Has anyone dealt him - what did u get OR thought of dealing him?

MJD owners' patience will be rewarded next week against Denver.

Taylor owners will be a happy bunch a week from now too.

Here are some other reasons why MJD (and Taylor) owners should hang tight with those two RBs:

Week 8: vs. Cleveland

Week 9: at Cincinnati

Week 10: at Detroit

Week 13: at Houston

Week 15: vs. Green Bay

Week 16: vs. Indianapolis

I'd be looking to trade for MJD and Taylor right now, not sell.

In a redraft he could be a non force this year.

In Keepers he is just as valuable as Marion Barber and Reggie Bush

:goodposting: it's time to move MJD and trade him to me... his value will never be as low as it is right now

I don't think that's true. If we started up a dynasty league today, there's no doubt in my mind I'd draft both Barber and Reggie Bush ahead of MJD.
I agree on Barber, but I think Bush and MJD are even.
In a standard scoring league perhaps. In a PPR, Bush is light years ahead of MJD.
I'd take MJD j-u-s-t ahead of Bush in a ppr dynasty. But it's very close. We've seen Bush given every opportunity to carry the ball 20+ times a game behind a good offensive line. We haven't seen MJD get that opportunity yet. I'm not saying MJD will succeed in that role or that he'll EVER be given that opportunity - we just haven't seen it yet.

I'm thinking of offering Thomas Jones for MJD now (I get MJD). Should I do it?
have you looked at the Jets upcoming schedule? I'd think twice about trading TJ for MJD..you have to remember, MJD is part of a 3-way RBBC...you know Mangini wants to run the ball..TJ is a guy who'll get 20+ carries/gm, from here on out..his only competition is Leon Washington.MJD has to deal with Greg Jones and Fred Taylor.

Jones is a relative non-factor. He'll catch the occasional pass and get the occasional run but as long as MJD and Taylor are healthy, they own the carries and RB receptions.

Nice posting. You just made feel a whole lot better about having him on my team. I look forward to him putting up some nice numbers in the coming weeks!

I just offered De Williams to get him this morning. I haven't heard back ... guess that's good sign

If JAX gave MJD 20-25 touches a game the guy would be one of the most valuable RBs in football. The problem is in JAX that will never happen.

You'd think after the same pattern has been maintained for over 2 years that folks would catch on.Spending a 2nd round pick on a RB that receives under 50% of his team's carries is just not a smart thing to do... TD production is just way too variable.

In a TD heavy/only league, he has decent value. In a non-ppr, 1/10 league he's worthless

I agree..How many times has Del Rio said "We have to get the ball to MJD more, MJD is our game breaker and needs to be more involved" It never seems to happen though.

One of the games best talents is being wasted by a moron coach. There is no reason for the Jags not to get him the ball at least 20 times a game. What a horrible offensive scheme they run when you can't utilize their franchise player.

traded him FOR colston in a redraft last night

disclaimer: strong enough at RB position that he hadn't started a game yet for me and my WR are so awful i may start Colston even before he comes back

in ppr he has been fine/ok, and we all know he always starts out like this every year, buy in ppr leagues and hold everywhere else.
