Is Jon Beason a 3 down LB'er? (1 Viewer)

Thomas Davis is a converted safety so I would have to assume that he plays on all 3 downs. Morgan used to be a 3 down LB'er, but has there been any word on limiting Morgan to 2 down duty and having Beason play on all 3 downs, to try to keep Morgan healthy?

I have not heard anything like that anywhere.

OK, so then the assumption is that Morgan and Davis are the 3 down LB'ers in this system until we find out more today or until Morgan gets hurt...

I planned on starting beason and still plan to, but why is he listed #2 on the depth chart? I thought it was announced a while ago he was the starting weakside?

He is starting. The key is whether he plays in the nickel defense, and that is very questionable right now.
