Is Josh Hamilton the Natural? (1 Viewer)

Ministry of Pain

His story is inspiring to say the least. They will have to make a major motion picture out of this when it's all said and done. The Rangers have to figure out what they will pay this guy. Lots of teams I imagine would give him something like 5yr/$100-$120m...but Hamilton is gonna want a lot more is he not? The stories about him are starting to become legendary. Mike Lowell was on LeBaritard's show yesterday and said he was working out in a weight room with some other players and such...Hamilton walks in and goes over to the dumbbells and grabs two of them to start doing wrist curls and Hamilton begins talking and carrying on a conversation with everyone around him. Lowell looks down finally to see the weights he is playing around with and he has a 70 lb dumbbell in each hand and Lowell says to himself "Get the eff out of here" and he went on to say Hamilton is the strongest player he has ever faced, and the most complete player he has ever seen pick up a ball.

One more story as the legend grows...Hamilton is gone for a year from his addiction and comes back a shell physically of what he initially was. He comes up to the plate and the first pitch he cracks it out past the scoreboard, just incredible. 17 home runs as of May 11th to lead the league. I do not believe anyone will ever break Barry Bonds ballooned record or McGuire/Sosa...but the thought of someone hitting 50 home runs without steroids in their system, in a time where pitchers are grabbing the upper hand once again and dominating now that the juice is out of the game, how awesome would it be to see a guy hit 50 or possibly chase 60 or Maris' 61 which should be rolled back as the real record. Guy is fun to watch swinging a bat.

Guy is a beast and the best part of his story is that he kicked his addictions and gave it all to God. A feel good story...
