Is Lamont Jordan on IR? (1 Viewer)

There is an article on the blogger that states Jordan is out week 14. I thought Jordan was on IR and was out for the season. Was he placed on IR? Is there any chance he plays week 15 or 16?

OAK OUT

T Robert Gallery (Elbow)

RB LaMont Jordan (Knee)

They do not list players on the IR.

Jordan underwent an MRI on Nov. 20, a day after tearing the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. Coach Art Shell didn't know the extent of the tear when he addressed the media and was unsure how long Jordan would be sidelined.

Jordan said he wouldn't need surgery on the knee, but wouldn't speculate how long he would be out. But with only six games remaining this season and the Raiders out of contention, it's unlikely he'd be able to make it back.

(11-19 at KC): Started at RB, carried four times for 24 yards, and caught one ball for four yards before leaving game due to injury.

(11-26 at SD): Inactive.

(12-3 vs. HOU): Inactive.

Long story short:

Not on the IR... but not expected to play again in 2006.

The Raiders are being very inconsiderate to those who would like to IR Jordan on their team. What would be their reasoning for NOT putting him on IR? Haven't him and the team both come out and stated that he's done for the year?
