Is Maroney going to sneak into the 1st round of dynasty drafts once ag (1 Viewer)

Was a late 1st rounder in most dynasty drafts last year. Have the last few games when the Pats used him as part of the offense and not soley as a decoy to set up the pass, elevated his value to the same as it was last year. Last 4 games he's had 423 yards rushing and 5 TDs and has looked very good in doing it.

He will be a great buy low next year. No way the Patriots will throw as much as they did this year next year. Look at Manning's record year. I still think Maroney is just as talented as anyone else in his rookie class. Can't do much when the coach isn't calling your number. Now that he finally is, and he's healthy, he looks great.

I also think Maroney is a "buy low" guy, but I also can't ignore the fact that he we in on only...what...in 33% of the Pats regular season plays. If a Maroney owner is fed-up, he would be a great addition. However, one should not expect #1 RB production from him.

Why not? I think things have worked out pretty well for them this year.

As long as the Pats retain Moss I would estimate they will approach next season much like this season. Beat people with your best weapons and rest the ones you don't need until you NEED them. Maroney is very talented. But being very talented on a team with bigger talents and a smart coach will mean he'll most likely have a similar season to this year's.

The Pats aren't going to throw for 50 TD's again. I have a feeling that Maroney was more injured this year than they let on - the fact that the team was so successful while passing the ball masked that, but we're seeing how well they incorporate at good running game into their scheme in the last few weeks. Also, more teams have learned how to play them and slow them down by taking away the deep stuff, which opens up shorter routes and running lanes. He won't get 300 carries, but I think he'll be a good RB to have in fantasy.

maybe the Pats don't throw as much next year. however, there were a number of games where Sammy Morris was given vulture duties and more. i don't expect maroney to get that many more opportunities than he did this year. same with FWP...
