Sprained knee. MRI on Monday.Red zone showed Rice getting attention on the sideline. Any word on his status?
Yeah, this is kind of a big deal. Did ANYBODY watch the game and see what happened?
If he's on your waiver wire, go get McGahee.Ravens coach John Harbaugh revealed in his post-game press conference Sunday that Ray Rice injured his knee against the Browns.Rice didn't play on Baltimore's final two drives in a close game, so it's believed he injured the knee on the team's early-fourth quarter possession. Harbaugh did confirm that Rice doesn't have ligament damage, but a knee sprain could sideline him for multiple weeks. Willis McGahee needs to be owned in all leagues. Rice will undergo "further evaluation" on Monday.
From Twitter...QUOTE @RavensInsider: ray rice suffered sprained knee during ravens win; nothing ligament wise or cartilage damage for rice per harbaughIf this report is to be believed the injury may not be that serious. On the other hand any knee injury isn't good.Oh great. I thought he just stopped running the ball...had no idea he got hurt. That would put a nice "screw you" on my day of fantasy football.
Cooll that Harbaugh has an MRI machine and results available so quickly. From Twitter...QUOTE @RavensInsider: ray rice suffered sprained knee during ravens win; nothing ligament wise or cartilage damage for rice per harbaughIf this report is to be believed the injury may not be that serious. Yeah I was going to say the same thing! Knee strain means a ligament was strained, stretched or at worst torn.MRI Monday will tell everything.Cooll that Harbaugh has an MRI machine and results available so quickly. From Twitter...QUOTE @RavensInsider: ray rice suffered sprained knee during ravens win; nothing ligament wise or cartilage damage for rice per harbaughIf this report is to be believed the injury may not be that serious. exactly. sprain = partial tear, at least. I'm not a Dr, but there's only 4 things in a knee - blood, bones, ligaments, and cartilage. It's clearly not a blood or bone issue, so it basically has to be a ligament or cartilage, right?I've seen things that look small end up being huge when the Dr's look ati it...sometimes the really benign looking ones are the bad ones.Yeah I was going to say the same thing! There is a 5th 'ingredient'. He could have damaged/ruptured his bursa sac. NOte I don't think or know this to be true, I just think that's in the knee.moleculo said:exactly. sprain = partial tear, at least. I'm new to this board...can someone tell me what this means? It seems like it's posted multiple times in every thread.
Basically someone doesn't want to post anything in words but they want to make sure when they scroll that this thread pops up as one they posted in...it's easier for them to find it on the board so they use that emoticon just to identify the thread. According to a Ravens observer, Rice didn't need the crutch to walk, but the medical staff gave it to him anyway. Rice used it sparingly, even jokingly at times, but did walk with a slight limp.
Yeah, it seems awfully quiet on this front.

He didn't have a torn MCL either. It was a torn meniscus. Not the same thing. It's a bruise unless your Beanie Wells and it's a torn MCL.
