Is Tebow being given a Fair shot? (1 Viewer)

Is Tebow being given a fair shot to be a NFL QB?

Dizzy you're such an angry person...perhaps you should direct that anger away from Tebow and towards actions which could benefit you...
Funny, I don't remember reaching out to "fake names on the internet for life changing advice"...

Perhaps you could try not giving a $@! what I think... and I'll do you the same.

If Manning had to miss 3-4 weeks, would the Broncos bring in Tebow? Knows the offense and has a proven record of winning with that team. Won their playoff game after all.
What could possibly make you say this?

He likes to fish by saying outlandish things...like Rodgers is a system QB because Seneca Wallace started a game 5/5.

yet another :lmao: He doesn't know #### about that offense or any NFL offense for that matter.
Perhaps you are the one who don't know ####? Tebow has a 9-7 record as an NFL starting QB including a playoff win over the Steelers.
This tebow clown? The same clown that is not wanted by 32 NFL teams. Is that the guy you are talking about? it appears that only you tie the Broncos record that year to Tebow. Everyone with a brain knows he was just along for the ride. NOW who knows nothing? Oh, you.

I was one of Tebows biggest fans when he came out of college and really hoped he would make it in the NFL.By now its plain to see that just is not going to happen. He was a great college QB who accomplished a lot of great things while in college. He has a lot to be proud of but starting in the NFL just was not in the cards.I'm sure he will also accomplish a lot of good outside of football its the type of person he is.I wish him well in anything he does and have a lot of fond memories from his Saturday afternoon exploits but I think its time to give this a rest.

It's funny how Tebow is "frozen in time" in the eyes of his followers. They all think that it's perpetually 2011. They ignore his inability to beat out Mark Sanchez in 2012 and his mediocre performance in the 2013 preseason, and just assume that he would automatically revert to the same winning form from 2011.

Tim Tebow 2011 might have won a game for the Packers. Tim Tebow 2013 would have had fans calling for the return of Graham Harrell.

:lmao: that someone still thinks this clown can play QB in the NFL.

Nope. The Packers don't need Tebow. They would rather lose the rest of their games than bring in a QB that could actually help them win while Rodgers is out.
Vince Young would be better than Tebow.

You know as well as I do that he never had a chance to start for the Jets. The GM wanted him, but the coaching staff didn't.

He looked good in his last preseason game in 2013 too.

The one where he completed a whopping 54.5% of his passes against 4th-stringers, including several floaters that almost went into the stands?

Do a youtube search on "Tim Tebow Highlights" and then come back and tell me he can't play football. He may not be pretty but he makes plays to win football games.
Well, he sucks for three and half quarters and the rest of the team keeps them in the game and then he squeezes out a play or two.

29 TDs and 9 picks over the course of his two seasons in which he had 14 total starts...

32 GMs says the guy is garbage. Sounds like a few of you should knock on some doors and apply. Take your flawed stats and youtube highlight videos and get back to me with your success stories.

A little advice: Remove Tebows balls from your chin before you knock on the doors.

he took a 1-4 team and led them to the playoffs

the next year he rode the bench

the following year he tried to establish in New England, bur Tom Brady and Ryan Mallet were well established and he wasn't going to displace them.

He got them. And all he did was win. Regular season games, playoff games, come from behind victories. All after the Broncos sold his weapons for next to nothing.

Were you in a coma during that season?

Bet the Broncos are going to regret losing him for a long time! Apparently the entire NFL was in a coma during that season since nobody wants him even as a backup. I recall him having to come from behind a lot because he sucked for 3 1/2 qtrs and then got a few long plays to win late. The coma victims are the ones who think he can play in the NFL. And then there's guys like you, bringing the MENSA...

he had a winning record, taking over what was a terrible team. He had a passer rating of 75, which for a 1st/2nd year guy on a bad team is pretty good. That doesn't take into accout what he could do with his feet.He created scores and rarely turned the the ball over.

Kurt Warner listened to what he was told in 1994 and set about to improve his game. Warner has stated on several occasions that he wasn't ready for the NFL in 1994.

Can you say the same about Tebow? Has Tebow swallowed his pride and done what Warner did?

Kurt Warner got kicked to the curb and then WORKED HIS ### OFF to make himself a better player. Meanwhile, Tim Tebow hits the Christian lecture circuit and whines about not getting another chance while doing NOTHING to refine his flawed mechanics.

And yet nobody wants him for even a 3rd string QB. He's just not an NFL QB. He had a brief moment in the sun (and further broken down, he had a few good plays after 3 bad quarters) but he's not accurate enough to catch on. Even teams on their 3rd string QB so far don't even want to work him out.

You keep reading that chapter of the book that you like, over and over again. I just told you how the book ends.

And all he did was win.
0-1 in the last 2 years.
:goodposting:

The only reason I can see this thread still cropping up on pg 1 is the product of :fishing:

Debate the skills and applicability of said skills to the NFL; regardless he's been irrelevant for some time.
Irrelevant everywhere but the Shark Pool... he's still the James Dean of NFL QB's here. The Passion of The Tebow lives on through his Disciples. In fact it's better at this point that he just stays away. He would have to throw 60 TD's, go undefeated, and win the MVP/Super Bowl (multiple times) just to live up to the vision they have of his playing days when Matt Prater made him a super star.

You are killing it dude.

Warrior, have you ever been right about anything? It's no surprise you are on the Tebow side. Nice prediction on Rainey/Leonard by the way.

You're joking right?

You do realize that after they kicked Tebow to the curb and got a real NFL QB they have been one of the top 4-5 teams in the league, right?

Or do you not watch professional football?

He cannot run an NFL offense. He has a unique set of skills that, at times, has proven successful under specific circumstances and in a specialized offense. However, it has not been so successful that any team feels it warrants building a team around.

This thread is not the place to make rational statements.

Crikees! this is still being talked about? LOL There should be a 3rd option-- 3) Don't care because it's irrelevant!

3 completions, 16 attempts? Sounds about right.

Is there a chance that he may not even want to play in the NFL anymore? I can't remember the last time I heard his name mentioned (outside the Shark Pool of course).

Maybe he's moved on to fulfill his higher purpose. He and Jonathan Martin should get a beach volleyball team together.

Kurt also helped his cause by playing in the Arena league, and playing well. Tebow can't even get a job there, or, if he was offered, refused it. He would also suck there, but that's not the point.

I really think this is the end of the story. I'm sure he could get tryouts, he is capable of having a shot as a backup at a mimimum. AFL teams would love the attendance he would bring.

Henry Burris is in the Grey Cup game this week. Flutie was in the wilderness in Calgary and came back. Moon (Edmonton), Warner (Des Moines), you name it, stuck it out.

When presented with the chance to carry on the dream in the AFL leagues or the CFL, even as a backup, he apparently says no.

I can get insisting on being a QB, but refusing to do whatever it takes means it's over. He can overcome unseeing GMs, but he's not coming back from his own bad attitude - that is impossible.
