Is this collusion? (1 Viewer)

Last week I needed a win to force a win and in senario this week.    I had a slight lead going into Monday night.   AB was questionable, and a win was not  guaranteed

My brother(also the commissioner) is the team I’ll be playing if I win

I get this text Monday afternoon

“Hey penis.  Might want to pick up Eli Rogers in case AB is out.   Setting up a play in game for us next week”

i didn’t respond, but did take his advice...AB played and I won

Is it collusion?

No

It's a fine line. I don't know. Is it a money league? I wouldn't like that if I were an opponent.

Anyway, no harm, no foul.

How is this even considered collusion? Last year someone in my league benched starters and took an L to give someone tied with me a W to block my playofff hopes because he felt my team was more of a threat to beat him in the playoffs....

I felt ####ed obvi but I respected the guy for smart strategy.... Even though this is like the definition of collusion It's fantasy football and its really only collusion if there is foul play resulting in an unfair advantage like a bull#### trade at the end of the year.

Actually I don't think it is collusion if the other owners weren't involved.  If this was this one owner deciding his best strategy was to lose because it helped in further down the line and no other owner conspired with him to do this then there is no collusion.  It is a crappy way to run your team and I would hope the fantasy karma gods reared their head to strike this guy down but it is not collusion if no other team was involved.

Collusion is a secret agreement or cooperation. An individual cannot have an agreement or cooperate with themselves. So If the owner acted alone, by definition, there can be no collusion.

Someone giving someone else advice is nowhere near collusion.
This.  I can offer other owners free advice or not as I see fit.  Some of it might be worth taking.

None of my leagues have "tampering" rules preventing me from talking about football or FF with other owners.  That would take a lot of the fun out of our games.
