Is Xavier Adibi healthy? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone heard how Adibi is recovering from the broken leg, and do you think he can keep making progress at WLB?

Thanks for the correction, but on that note, what is the word on Diles? He was starting to put together a very nice season before that freak accident.

Diles was battling for the WILL, but with Cushing now down with a sprained knee, he has moved to starting SAM. This might actually hurt Diles chances of being a starter, because Cushing will come back to take the SAM again, and with Adibi getting all the time at starting WILL, Diles will probably be backing him up.

Adibi has greater range than Diles. The concern for Adibi was his size, however, I understand he has bulked up.

he had an illness last year that caused him to lose weight. Hes back in the mid 240s now and healthy. Adibi has better coverage skills and quickness than Diles, but Diles hits harder.

Zac Diles had the broken leg, not Adibi. Adibi is starting at WLB and looks pretty good.
\ Zach Diles-LB - Texans Aug. 9 - 3:49 pm et Defensive coordinator Frank Bush described the Texans' competition at weak-side linebacker as "stiff."Zach Diles and Xavier Adibi are neck and neck. "We're looking for a guy that's fast, who can cover backs, as well as (blitz)," Bush said. "But most of all, we're looking for a playmaker." Diles showed that he could make plays in half a season last year, but Adibi might have the edge as a superior cover guy.Source: Houston Chronicle
