The future's so bright, I gotta wear![]()
fixedHe looked is freakin huge
Well I know nothing is guaranteed, but watching that guy throw gives me a chubby. Suddenly Oakland doesn't look so stupid for passing on Leinart. The future's so bright, I gotta wear![]()
Radiers still need a lot of work. Hopefully Russell works out though.
True dat. Porter and Curry won't cut it. Any guys coming out in the draft that fit the bill? I'm just praying we don't get another track star with stone hands (James Jett, I'm looking at you).Hes going to need a speedy wr that can get downfield fast enough to catch up with that huge arm
Bad snap from the shotgun formation, I think. I remember seeing it on sprtscenter last night. What was the fumble? It says in the box score he fumbled but did not lose it. Anyone see what caused it?
How about somebody already there? Higgins ran in the 4.3s at his pro day and looks to be VERY fast. He could make a nice little hookup with JaMarcus for a long time if things go well.True dat. Similarity ended when I saw Jamarcus "run". He looks much slower and more plodding than a young Culpepper did. From a FF standpoint, Pepper's rushing prowess was a huge part of his game. On the "mobility/running" QB spectrum, with Vick and Leftwich occupying the respective end points, Jamarcus is much closer to the Leftwich side of the spectrum and several gradations behind where a young Culpper resided. Was I the only one that thought he looked like CPep with skinnier legs?
I agree. I thought Russell looked pretty slow on his runs. But I am not sure how much that will hurt his ability to be a good QB in the NFL. He seemed to show good pocket awareness (granted we are talking about a limited amount of game time), and seemed to move in the pocket well. I am good with that. As long as he can move in the pocket and isn't a 6-6 statue back there then I think he will be ok.Similarity ended when I saw Jamarcus "run". Well, just to make something clear here......JaMarcus wasn't drafted to be a runner, this guy is a passer.........Not saying your intent is such, but some folks always want black QBs to be able to run as part of their game, whereas white QBs (Manning, Brady, Palmer, etc.) get a 'pass' so to speak on their running ability. Anyone who was expecting JaMarcus to be a very viable running threat ala Vince Young or Vick hasn't watched him play, either in game or in highlights (or read his player profile).........So, just sit back and watch the next NFL stud PASSER do his thing.......Although you can bank on a few 1 yard TD plunges from such a huge framed QB........Similarity ended when I saw Jamarcus "run". I'm not too sure about college guys but I'm pretty sure Randy Moss is a free agent this year...True dat. Porter and Curry won't cut it. Any guys coming out in the draft that fit the bill? Jett was an undrafted free agent. I'd take a 12-TD season (tied for 2nd in the league) and nearly 4,500 rec yards from an undrafted free agent, wouldn't you?True dat. Porter and Curry won't cut it. I wouldn't expect him to play in Lambeau unless injuries dictate otherwise. Wouldn't be shocked to see him play a bit against the Colts at home.Raiders | Russell may not see time Week 14Mon, 3 Dec 2007 07:06:15 -0800Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports Oakland Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell may not see time in Week 14 versus the Green Bay Packers despite seeing limited time in the team's Week 13 game. "We'll have to go back, see how he played on film, we'll look at it," head coach Lane Kiffin said. "There's a lot that goes into it and as far as how he played, going to Green Bay, it's not going to be real warm there, it's going to be a tough environment to play in. We'll also look at the health of our quarterbacks."![]()
