I just recently started watching this show and its hilarious. I love Charlie's character. Some of my favorite scenes from the first three seasons:

- Charlie's dyslexia

- Charlie confusing wooed with wood

- Day man and Night Man

- The abortion sign

- The wet t-shirt contest with the 12 year old north korean

- The Jihad tape (Can't we just add subtitles to it later?)

- Frank's constant gun waving

Here's a better download of when Dennis and Charlie were performing the song at Paddy's. It's funny listening to Charlie start screaming at the end after the crowd starts booing. http://www.fxnetworks.com/shows/originals/sunny/#/listen-up/

I am trying to find a place where I can download the song as a ringtone for my cell phone....

Gosh guys, I apologize. I know the innernets are hard, and when you didn't see it on the 2nd link, you were left in a state of confusion; unable to click any of the other links on the google search page.

I should have double checked to see if their myspace page was in fact the 2nd link down when i posted that, but it turns out it was the 6th link. (wiki was the 2nd). So for all of you who clicked the 2nd link, and spent hours laboring through the several paragraphs of text on that page, I apologize. If you click "back" and then go down to link 6, skipping over the video results...you'll find the IASIP myspace page with your answer.

Charlie needs to tone down his screaming and whining.

I know that is his shtick, but man can it be annoying at times. Too loud.

And no, this has nothing to do with the fact that he slept with my ex not 2 weeks after we broke up.

For those in the NYC area:

The cast of FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" will perform their musical "The Nightman Cometh" on stage at the Beacon Theatre on September 16.

Pre-sale starts tomorrow (password: NIGHTMAN) at 9:00 a.m. via Ticketbastard (regular sale starts Friday).

ETA link: NIGHTMAN

No kidding? I would LOVE to see this.

OK, is this show for me? I think I watched one episode and didn't care for it so I admit I didn't give it a good enough shot. I'd like to find a new comedy to watch and this one always pops up as having potential.

some reference:

Arrested Development was one of the greatest comedies ever.

Seinfeld is my favorite show of all time.

As generic as I can get is maybe King of Queens, maybe because I live in Queens.

I do like Big Bang Theory a lot and The Office and 30 Rock.

Popular comedies I don't like: Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, Weeds (and I've been known to smoke)

Love Family Guy(although not as much) and South Park, gave up on Simpsons about 3 years ago. Don't like American Dad.

should I give Always Sunny a shot. If you say yes and I don't like it I will hunt you down and kill you.

or berate you on this thread

or just stop watching the show. Probably the last one.

tia

We're pretty close in regards to comedic tastes and I love Sunny. It's kind of like Seinfeld if everyone was drunk and confrontational throughout every episode.

I like comedies. I haven't watched this show. Comedies I like are Extras, Curb, Eastbound & Down, The Office and that one with the 4 nerds.

Do you think I will like Always Sunny in Philly?

I laugh more at the commercials for this than at anything else on TV right now. Can't wait for September.
:goodposting: While watching rescue me on the dvr and fast forwarding thru the commercials i always stop and watch the sunny promos, they're fantastic. Can't wait for this show to start up again.

I don't know enough about the making of stars to refute him :lmao:

Glad I found this thread. LOVE this show. Got into it a few months ago when my brother picked up all the DVDs. Absolutely can't wait for season 5 to start. As others have stated - even a bad episodes of It's Always Sunny is funnier than 90% of the crap out there these days. It's actually tainted my ability to watch other comedies, as the others just don't come close to stacking up to this.

By the way: http://itsalwayssunnyepisodes.com
