I've started a journal (1 Viewer)

SUPER ELITE UPPER TIER
Not like in a Sam Champion way. I actually started writing a journal to my daughter. I figure one day, either when she graduates or when I die (whichever comes first), she can sit down and read it.

I've only written in it for a couple of weeks now, but I'm actually really glad I'm doing it. I want her to know why I made every decision and what I did to make sure that she had the best childhood she could possibly have.

Anyone else ever do something like this? I think it'll be a pretty cool gift to give her on her graduation day.

She has no idea I'm doing it, so it will be a complete surprise.

Keep at it. I am sure she will love it when she gets older.

Edit. I am serious. This is coming from a woman that has had no relationship with her father since I was maybe 12. I have only seem him maybe 10 times since I moved out when I was 22

Awesome idea... but I am way to lazy to pull something like that off.

I am doing the "Oh the places you'll go!" thing with her teachers and am already worried about what I will do when she is in middle school and has more than one teacher. It seems like it will be a lot of work :oldunsure:

I'm not familiar with this.

Giving her teacher the Dr. Seuss book to sign at the end of each year... started it when she was in kindergarten last year. I also plan to pick her up with a rose on the last day of school each year, with the hope being that if she does not hate me by then, I will pick her on her last day of high school with 13 roses.
