J.FARGAS -------> VALUE (1 Viewer)

Well it seems most have written him off and even looking at the ranking of most on here and F&L and other places the have Fargas rated very low and even projected stats even lower.

What we know is that he is the starting rb for the Raiders.

He was given a chance and he ran hard finally and stayed healthy last year.

Dmac is in town, but this team will rely on the run heavily.

I think this guy is a nice rb3 and that was before this game. As you can see they will be using DMAC all sort of ways but Fargas will keep running the rock.

wish I had played him instead of Chris Perry

Jim Brown would not have had better stats last night given what JF had to work with.

But let's be honest: he's an injury-prone stud. in a RBBC. on a bad team.

The guy has little value in dynasty, only really for someone looking for a 1 year rental, and it might be a partial 1 year rental at that. McFadden and Bush will all begin to see more and more carries as the season goes on. Also, if the Raiders continue to be as bad as they were last night, they are going to want to see what they have in their young backs sooner than later.I would sell as quickly as possible in dynasty and I assume that is why his rankings are so low in that venue.

As long as the Raiders keep running on 3rd and 13, I see lots of yards (split 150+ a game) between Fargas and DMac but very few TD's. No thanks - nothing better than a RB3 in my opinion.

Kind of like Portis from a few years ago.

I view it similar to the Chester Taylor and AP last year. Starting out with decent carries, but will eventually give way to the rookie. So, yes...value now, but very well could have very little value come time for your playoffs.

CBS

It appears as though Fargas pulled a groin muscle and likely won't be back on the field for a few weeks. That's great news for McFadden owners, but bad news for Fargas owners. Fargas was seeing most of the carries the first two weeks as Oakland gets their star rookie RB accustomed to life in the NFL. Fargas has been a viable No. 3 Fantasy RB, but continue to check his progress leading up to Week 3 at Buffalo.
So much for Fargas & value. :shrug: Granted, Huggy Bear Jr did look good for the game & a half he managed to play in, but dang that guy is made of glass fine crystal.
