Sorry about starting a thread dealing with a single game, but my wife fought breast cancer before passing away earlier this year. We both were touched by the way Lester handled his struggle. She sent a letter to him in 2006 and he responded in a rather touching way.

I am sorry for your loss and it is good to hear that Lester responded to your wife.Also, think I have seen a whole bunch a threads about a game when the pitcher gets close to a no-hitter or perfect game.
