Jacksonville Jaguars (1 Viewer)

not sure the ticket prices out there, but I havent been to a bears since 95. were talking $250 for a pair of decent tickets.

owners need to get ticket prices under control

4000 seats remaining as of today. This is against a division rival that is up and coming and has won 5 out of the last 8 times the two teams have played. You'd think that there would be more interest in Jacksonville. Pretty sad.

Will Jags ever be embraced by fans?
It is the NFLs fault..why did they ever put a team there?Florida is a transient state, to have three NFL franchises is one too many.
I disagree. Jacksonville is not as transient as the rest of Florida and the Jags have a solid 55-60k fans that are there no matter what. The problem is that the stadium is also used for major college games and is too big for the market. If the Jags are given time I'm confident that 5 years from now they'll have a strong footing and 10 years from now they'll one of he more solid franchises in the NFL. Jacksonville loves football.

Rams were blacked out here last week. The brightside of there 0-5 start is I just bought 22 tickets to the thanksgiving weekend game against the Seahawks for less than I bought 2 tickets to the Baltimore at Pittsburgh Monday night game on Nov.5. All the seats are in about the same spot to...WAY up in the nose bleeds.

Wadsworth,Do you think that they can last that long?

They really need a sponsor for Jax Muni.

As a Texans fan, I see the Jags as our only true rival so far in our conference. Apparently, the Jag's fans do not feel the same way.
It's not that Jags fans feel as if the Texans aren't a big rival; they are. The Jags record against the Texans speaks for itself. It is just that people aren't filling the stadium. In fact, the Jags had to request an extension to the blackout deadline for its season opener versus the Titans.

As Wadsworth said, that stadium is really too big for the market. I have family in Jacksonville that have lived there for over 40 years, and as Wadsworth mentioned, that is one city in Florida where there is a large number of true Floridians there, and they love their football.

Then they should revisit the threshold to a reasonable amount vs the sell out... imagine the Rams still at the Coliseum in LA.Make it a 50,000 or something around the league average.... and call it a sellout for TV purposes.

Sucks.. I guess I should be thankful I get OAK/SD (which shoudl be a good game), but not NWE/DAL.

It obviously a complicated issue, but the short answer is it depends on the Collective Barginning Agreement. Under the current agreement I don't see how any small market team is going to do well. For example, the Patriots sold the naming rights to their parking lot for more than the Jags are asking for the naming rights to their stadium. With teams like the Reskins and Cowboys constantly pushing the salary cap higher and tapping into revenue streams the small market teams can't even dream about, something is going to have to change or Jacksonville, Buffalo and many other markets will be threatened. There are certainly many many other issues, but the CBA is the lynchpin.

This is my exact though process. In today's NFL, I can't see how they last with the current situation being the way it is.

A couple of years ago, before they covered over more seats, Jacksonville had tickets for $20 a pop, up in the nosebleeds. You could get lower-deck, ~40 yard line for about $80. It was so ridiculously cheap, I used to catch a couple of games a year there, and I'm not even a Jaguars fan. I've always felt bad for the franchise and didn't mind supporting them, and hey, where else can you see real NFL football for $20?I just checked how much it is now, and Houston tickets are available for as low as $42 each, and the most expensive tickets for sale are $235. Still cheap, but not $20.

Oh bull####. There's not a bad seat in the house. I sit in the North Endzone about 1/2 way up for $60 a seat and while it's not the 50 yard line, it's still a decent seat.

Yea i read somewhere that they were last in the league in fanbase and team gear sales. IMO they need a superstar to spark interest. Kind of a good boring team..Drew is ok but he isnt a big fan draw.
