200.00 cap and I am wondering the same thing. I hope to hear more about the severity of the injury. Right now I am thinking since its the first injury to a starting calibur player - and its a knee injury - And for whatever reason so many people think Droughns is still the backup - I think I can get him for no more than 30.00 in a 200.00 cap league.

It depends on how bad you and the other owners in your league need a viable RB.

That's the real key isn't it. In a 10 team league I'm in the Jacobs owner will probably get him with no problem. In the 12 team league I'm in, I will probably have to bid pretty hard to get him (I'm the jacobs owner in the 12 team league). I have 3 other starting RB's, so I don't know if I will be bidding all that much for the guy.The other thing is, who knows that they will stay with Ward at Half Back and Droughns at Fullback for next week? Gonna have to wait and see what the deal is with the MRI before I decide what to do with Ward....

The sneaky play might be to bid Droughns for $1.

I'm still not buying into Ward.... I thinking it will be RBBC between Droughns and Ward. Droughns did get all the pre-season RB2 snaps and then was made FB out of no where... people who spend a quarter or so of their BB may be regretting it 2 weeks later.
Plus... as Tiki pointed out... Ward has been injury prone in his career as well.

How much is too much to make sure that another team does not get him. We have a $100 budget. I may try to bid upwards of $80 for Ward. I have Benson, Maroney, K Jones and Westy. That will give me a major bargaining chip. What would you bid
ETA: I am A Giants fan and thought Jacobs would be out in the 2nd game so I dont expect much when he comes back. I am just kicking myself for not picking Ward up in this league when I did in 2 other leagues

If you have Benson and maroney, you might want to use your money to back them up instead with Adrian P and Samie M.

I drafted Morris and Peterson was drafted. A guy in my league has only 2 RBs. Alexander and Portis and no one else. He is desperate for a RB and I do not want him to get one. I would like to trade Benson for TO so if I land Ward I may be able to do it
