Jacquizz Rodgers, RB ATL (1 Viewer)

Thoughts on Jacquizz @ Indy this weekend?Does he get the time to shine in a blowout?
Tough to say. I like him to come in around 7 or 8 fantasy points in PPR. Chris Johnson type of production on about 1/10 of the opportunities.
I'm in desperation mode and may have to play Jacquizz this weekend. I too am hoping he may get some work if the Falcons can get a big lead against the Colts, which should seem feasible. There was no Rotoworld blurb, but Yahoo reported the below on Tuesday 11/1:RB Jacquizz Rodgers could see increased action following the season-ending knee injury suffered by FB Ovie Mughelli. "Jacquizz has shown that he has the skill set to be a running back in this league, and we need to make sure that we spread the ball around through the second half of the season," coach Mike Smith said. "We've kind of been a little one-sided in our carries."(Yahoo! Sports)I think the assumption here is that, with the injury to Mughelli, Snelling moves to FB, and Jacquizz moves to the COP/3rd down role. However, Mike Smith in the past has promised to lessen the load on Turner and give more touches to other RBs, but he never ever follows through with that promise. There's a glimmer of hope however for this weekend based on:1) Weak opponent2) Snelling moves to FB3) Coach said he'll be more involved4) Team is coming off a bye, and may have worked on ways to get Jacquizz the ball more, preferably in spaceThere are some glimmers of hope for impact this year, but it's a huge crapshoot. Any other thoughts?
You've about talked me into picking him up and starting him. It's been that kind of week for my team.

If Daniel Thomas sits, I'll be rolling him out as well. Good luck to us!

I'm considering dumping Taiwan Jones for him.

any thoughts here? Given Turner's workload and injury history (it's always possible), plus, Rodgers is a guy that would put up should Turner go down. Not to mention, Turner's workload should decrease as the season goes on especially if the Falcons are looking ahead to the playoffs..

Run, don't walk to do this.Quizz looked real good this past week. Especially after the catch where 3 guys couldn't take him down (really highlighted his great lower body strength). He's the perfect lightning/COP on that team. I really think he's going to make a huge huge impact before the year is up.

Healthy Turner -- Rodgers sees 3rd down workHurt Turner -- Snelling 1st/2nd downs (maybe alternating series with Rodgers) with Rodgers taking the 3rd down work.

Snelling probably stays in the FB role if Turner goes down.

Not necessarily - they also brought in Mike Cox to play FB when Mughelli went down.

This is true but I can't see the Falcons keeping a talent such as Rodgers off the field if Turner were to go down. His touches would have to go up significantly. The Falcons dont necessarily need the power running game to make their offense go. They are very dynamic and adaptable and a playmaker such as Rodgers would plug in nicely should Turner go down, with Snelling getting limited touches depending on who they are playing and situation.

Just picked him up in a deep keeper league. He may not have much value this year barring a Turner injury, but he could very well be the heir apparent to a soon-to-be-30-year-old Turner. Worth stashing away for keeper/dynasty leagues.
